Sara at the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon blog ran across this video on the Social Security Administration website. It seems whoever works there is trying to get into the viral video game, and everyone knows the first rule of viral videos is “the Elvis impression”:

We all see terrible “viral” videos all the time, and they’re always painful, but this one hurts a little bit more since WE PAID FOR IT. That’s our viral video, literally.

yeah, we paid for it… but we also paid for dick cheney’s hand-reconstruction surgery, so he could finally have fingers instead of those flippers he was born with.

  4. So that’s why John Locke wants to kill Jacob. So he can take his place at the Baby Name Awards.

  5. The social security office has a green screen and I want them to return it and just stop it. I did not approve this script. Just release the info to the AP and let them make a two paragraph piece.

my gosh, i haven’t had coffee yet, but I don’t see anything “viral” about this video.
can’t it just be cute? Why do people always complain about the government?
I mean, it’s bad if it’s all sterile and boring, and apparently it’s more egregious when
they try to make something cute and not boring (ok, I admit, the content is dreadful).

  7. I haven’t been able to stop vomiting since I saw this… it’s… awful.

WoW. This video is awesome. Seriously, this is top notch stuff here. I mean really, can you do it Bwk. I didnt think so. It is pretty funny too! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. This is tasteless and illogical. For instance, why are they make fun of dead babies? Does the government really think that’s nice? Emily died two years ago, poor little thing. If you do the math, she was eleven. She was tiny for eleven. Clearly, she had some congenital disease like growth-retarding herpes.
