  1. “Chris. Remember when you left Dark Knight Rises? You were gone three years. Three years I waited, hoping that you wouldn’t come back. Every year, I took a holiday. I went to Florence, there’s this cafe, on the banks of the Arno. Every fine evening, I’d sit there and order a Fernet Branca. I had this fantasy, that I would look across the tables and I’d see you there, with your wife and kids. You wouldn’t say anything to me, nor me to you. But we’d both know that you’d made it, that you were happy. I never wanted you to come back to the Batman series. I always knew there was nothing here for you, except pain and tragedy. And I wanted something more for you than that. I still do. I also want to be Batman.” — Joseph Gordon Levitt.

  2. DC will not, and have not stopped not leaving Nolan alone. According to this article’s source, the Latino Review, it’s getting embarrassing. I kind of hope he says no. Nobody can save DC from their own, hard-to-adapt heroes.

    • “Hard-to-adapt” according to their track record and what people have said. I personally have no clue why there aren’t a bajillion Wonder Woman movies out there. Superman is so ingrained in our culture that it’s kind of insane how much they’ve fretted over making a movie ‘correctly.’

      • I agree…it’s amazing Wonder Woman hasn’t hit since the 70s considering how many tries different networks have made

    • I’m not an expert or anything, but the Justice League seems bound to be stupid because Superman is so overpowered that there’s no reason for him to need to be in league with anyone, and because it seems directly opposed to Batman’s ethos to be a member of it.

      • well, batman does kinda hate the justice league most of the time. i still think that if they really want to capitalize on the success of the nolan batman movies while still making and avengers-style super team movie, the should just make a gd batman, incorporated movie. it’s like an all-batman justice league, basically! (although they will never make a batman, incorporated movie, obviously, because the only person who would be like “oh boy, knight and squire! on the big screen!” has two thumbs and is currently commenting on a pop culture blog. also because grant morrison is a crazy person, probably.)
