I recently watched the TNG episode with Stephen Hawking, and it made me furious that there isn’t currently a Star Trek tv series, because an episode guest-staring Neil deGrasse Tyson would make my heart sing.

I may or may not already have a plot for a new series and a decent amount of the bridge crew figured out…
I can only presume that Tilda Swinton and David Bowie feature heavily, as they should in everything.
I can maybe find a role for Bowie. I haven’t decided what alien race the captain is, but I do know I want an alien in the captain’s seat, so why not Tilda?
I am starting to think Neil deGrasse Tyson isn’t real and just a figment of our collective wishful imaginations. It is mathematically impossible for someone to be as insanely intelligent and impossibly cool as he is.

So I got into an argument yesterday with my husband about a VERY important topic. I said that the little black kid in the AT&T commercial who can wave his head and his hand at the same time looks like Neil deGrasse Tyson, but he disagreed. He was like “No way, Neil deGrasse Tyson looks like Aaron Neville and that kid doesn’t look like Aaron Neville!” and then we started talking about if Neil deGrasse Tyson got a face tattoo of a cross. It was a very important argument and may shape the future of our relationship.
I can’t tell if those commercials are staged or not (or probably more accurately, HOW staged they are), but I love them. The werewolf one? When the girl says, “I wish I was back to a human”? Gets me every time.
