The same guy who made that fake Cleveland “tourism” video has found eleven more things that suck about Cleveland, like “Our enconomy’s based on LeBron James.” He seems to know a lot about Cleveland, but these are too funny not to be extended to other cities:

To be fair to Cleveland, every American city has weird ugly sculptures like that. (Via The Daily What.)

  1. “Our main export is crippling depression.”
    Hi-yo!

  2. These are WAY funnier than they have any right to be.

and this can apply to the whole of the Midwest – and I can say that because I’m from – and widely traveled within – the Midwest.

(except Chicago ~ because Chicago’s the best.)

    • Damn straight! CHI owns the Midwest. Although I’m not sure we want it. Actually, we don’t. We’re like an oasis in a sea of mom jeans and pickup trucks.

  3. To be fair, most of the homes where I live too look like a Scooby Doo ghost town.

  4. Originally being from Ohio, I can attest that Cleveland really isn’t all that bad. But, with that being said, it’s totes possible to by a house for the price of a VCR there.

    • yea – shit’s extra cheap in the entire state of Ohio for whatever reason. My friends and I got a NICE apartment in Cincinnati a few years ago – 3 bedrooms for $600/month!
in Chicago that same apartment would be like $2000+/month

those guys in OHIO need some stimulus money. yesterday.

      • But location-wise, Cincinnati v. Chicago is really no competition. You couldn’t charge $2000 for a castle in Cincinnati, mostly because it’s Cincinnati.

  5. I resent the detroit comment and maintain that cleveland is worse. ohio is the worst. in general.

Fourth’d. Detroit owns Cleveland. Ohio is definitely the worst.

Also, I don’t know if you have or haven’t, but please don’t jump on the Detroit-bashing wagon if you haven’t spent time there.

    • I guess you guys didn’t hear. Chrysler went bankrupt. Detroit is done.

      Sorry.
      =(

  6. Second that. Detroit has produced some of history’s finest musicians; I can’t think of one from Cleveland (anyone?). Gabe should’ve written this one….

  7. speaking of weird sculptures, i used to live near this guy:

Ohhhh man someone tooootally needs to do one of these about Baltimore.

  9. Aw, I always loved inexplicable stamp sculpture. Not because I thought it was art, but because it was a giant stamp and that amused me greatly as a child.

  10. Guys, stop making me want to go to Cleveland!

  11. dear videogum,
    this is our tourism video.
    love, detroit.

  12. It’s so cold in the D is so OMG. I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that you can download that off-key hot mess as a ringtone or that it’s a response to a video called let me smell yo dick. Yes, packing my bags for Detroit.
