The trailer for Post Grad, the new movie starring Alexis Bledel as a whiney wah-wah-wah-the-world-owes-me-my-dream-job recent graduate who’s forced to move back in with her parents while she ignores her Ducky and flirts with an older foreign neighbor from central casting, came out this week. And there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo by a comedian soon to be seen in starring movie roles that seems almost like it was added to the trailer as a joke.

The movie also stars the brilliant Jane Lynch as the mom, and marks the return of Michael Keaton to doing anything at all. Question: when did Duckys become average looking jock/fratboy types whose only claim to quirkiness is the fact that they play acoustic guitar? I knew Ducky. Ducky was a fake friend of mine. And the guy in this trailer, sir, is no Ducky.

Reality Blows
OMG, i would have missed if you hadn’t told me not to miss it because of how i’m not going to miss this movie for anything (i’m going to miss this movie for many things).

This trailer caused an almost complete lack of emotion in me. It’s so formulaic and bland and blah it’s like it might as well not even exist. Always a good sign for a movie.

so alexis bledel plays rory gilmore (smart girl with great plans of education and carrier, everything falls apart, then everything resolves itself and life is great again) and zach gilford plays matt saracen (adorable, unappreciated boyfriend who is dumped for older, more interesting guy but then probably gets the girl back in the end when she realizes how great he is)?
She’s probably always going to play Rory GIlmore. Always.
She has about as much range as Michael Cera.

I thought Paolo was buried in the sand. When everyone else leaped through time it must have taken him to the house next to Mike Keaton and he couldn’t see so he needed glasses and was hot so he got a pool and then Nikki came over and… my nose is bleeding. This Movie is death.

OMG! This is horrible! I’m surpirsed you slackers didn’t mention “The Graduate” which is what this movie is trying to be. Not all of us are eager students after we graduate, we just like to lay on the pool, do nothing and sleep with an older mature neighbor while listening to simon and garfunkle.
