TV preachers Dr. Shine and Dee Dee made an interesting intro for their show using Top Gun. Not sure how many years too late to be relevant this was, but probably many. Be sure to watch until Dr. Shine turns into a plane:

But WHO’S THE GOOSE? The only way this would be better is if it was “God’s Top Gun of Deliverance” as in the movie Deliverance. (Via God’s Tumblr.)

    We’ve got a great show in the works here. A show that features Snoop (who can turn into a rottweiler), Dr. Shine (who turns into a plane). We just need a third?

    Um, I heard an explosion after Dr. Shine turned into a jet.

    This totally wasn’t worth it until 1 minute in, and then it became COMPLETELY WORTH IT. Also, why do they show two planes crashing into each other at the end?

    I can answer that. Christ is a translation of the Hebrew expression of anointed, which in its symbolic meaning means messiah. So “Jesus is the Christ”" is a theologically proper exclamation.
