Oh man. Remember how Lauren Conrad is going to be animated into an episode of Family Guy? You remember. There was that day where you kept barfing after hearing that Lauren Conrad is going to be animated into an episode of Family Guy. Well, in an interview with OK! magazine (via Scandalist), LC explains how she prepared for the role:

I hired an acting coach for the day to get me through it because a lot of the lines later on in the episode that I did are very complicated. There are a lot of facts and big words, and I had to say it as if it was coming to me very easily– instead of just reading them. I actually had to research some of them!

She hired an acting coach because a lot of the lines had big words and facts in them. Because of course she did. Well, it’s like they always say, you never get a second chance to completely reinforce everyone’s negative ideas about your intelligence and abilities. Don’t worry, girl, you nailed it!

And to be fair, Lauren was recording a role for a storyline about dating a dog on one of the worst shows on television. She had to get it exactly right. Brass ring. Bull horns.

Vomit on her sweater already, Wolfgang Puck’s spagehetti.

HIPPITY-HOO-BLAH!

  1. Whoo! :) start to the day, let’s go y’all!

  2. “…a lot of the lines later on in the episode that I did are very complicated.”

I wasn’t aware that an obscure 80s pop culture refrence took shakespearean-level acting skills to sell.

  3. Just think…. it’s not just LC, there is a world out there full of people that find family guy complicated and full of big words.

  4. Come on Gabe, it’s hard to talk when you’re teabagging.

  5. I actually like Family Guy. It makes me feel better about constantly hating life.

  6. I hate when these “celebrities” get a brief acting gig and are amazed that it actually takes some skill.

Really, LC? You had NO IDEA that it takes talent to read two minutes of script convincingly? Much less two hours? Much less seasons and seasons worth? Seriously?

BTW, LC, weren’t you acting for a few years on a show called “The Hills?”
