Here in New York we are entering into what will be the coldest week of winter so far, which is just perfect. Who doesn’t love a good cold, harsh wind blowing snow into your face and down your neck and up your pant legs while you’re just trying to make it home at the end of a long work day? I don’t think anyone doesn’t love that! In order to celebrate, please enjoy a dangerously cool little ice dance break and also PLEASE BE CAREFUL! THE CONES ARE THERE FOR A REASON! #partyon (Via Neatorama.)

That’s really a poor use of cones. Everyone in Chicago knows that cones are better used (along with chairs, couches, yard equipment, etc.) for marking your parking space after digging your car out. Or at least that’s what we used to do many years ago when it actually snowed in Chicago.
DIBS! The removal of dibs entitles the Dibs placeholder to basically firebomb your vehicle. That one time it snowed in New York I wondered why NY’ers would do with Dibs…would they understand the Dibs laws? probably not, probably a homeless guy would just add your dibs materials to his fort somewhere.
I couldn’t watch it all the way through. I broke my arm 2 winters ago slipping on a patch of ice, and that video was getting me all anxious. But at least there weren’t any bugs.
I wish I had as much free time as the guy who stood there filming this.
Wait I do have that much free time, I use it to read and comment on Videogum. Ya burnt, me. I feel like a total blookhead.
I didn’t finish watching this because it was too scary, and I was afraid at any moment I would see brains and blood on the cement. Can someone tell me if anyone actually dances for real on the ice? Or is it just a bunch of everyday people just trying to live their lives and getting laughed at in the process of obeying the laws of physics?
There was a really tense moment when three strollers showed up at the same time, but the babies were all safe.
Then *SPOILER ALERT* a blind guy slipped and fell at the very end of the video.
Shitshitshit I went to upvote you but it downvoted instead! And I can’t undo it??? Maybe I subconsciously wanted the babies to fall over? No, that can’t be! Please accept my apology.
Maybe you did!! Apology accepted, anyway.
Yeah, your friend might have slipped on the ice, guy who has to crouch down he’s laughing so hard, but you’re the one in track pants in the dead of winter.
Take a cue from everyone else in the video who is a decent human being.
Reminds me of World 6: Ice Land in Super Mario Bros. 3. These people need a Tanooki suit. What are they thinking?!?! LOL
I’m gonna come clean here. I truly do not understand why people laugh at other people who fall down. It is just not funny to me. At all.
The cone approach, while novel, makes much less sense than salt. Have they not discovered the magical ice melting properties of salt in the UK? Also, this seems like an obvious missed opportunity for yakety sax.
We do have salt, but we’re too busy filming each other falling over to actually go and put any down.
True story. I watched this yesterday and was like I’m so gonna have bad karma after watching an old guy fall. Then I checked my email a couple minutes later and my professor emailed us with homework and future assignments a full day before the semester was supposed to begin. Womp womp.
Youtube videos = The Ring remake
Of course I went to the end after Bolderbadgers spoiler alert and watched that poor blind person fall. Now I can’t un-see it and I’m going to hell, that was terrible!
By the by…this seems to be a heavily trafficked area, why doesn’t someone go salt that sidewalk? Maybe someone with a lot of free time…like the dingus filming people falling for EIGHT MINUTES. #worst
Whoever posted the video said it was just a hiking stick so we shouldn’t feel bad for laughing but I dunno…
