DID ANYONE GET A PUPPY FOR CHRISTMAS? I know they say that giving a puppy as a Christmas gift is not a good move for whatever reasons, like it’ll make your kid too happy or fill everyone’s hearts with too much joy or whatever, but that does not change the fact that opening a gift and finding a puppy in it would be the best, second only to walking into a room full of balloons and finding your surprise birthday party inside. I did not get a puppy for Christmas and couldn’t have one anyway because my apartment doesn’t allow it and also I have so many wires and garbage on the floor, and what if the puppy ate it all and died? That would be a nightmare! I don’t even want to think about it, so please stop asking me. If you also did not get a puppy for Christmas: Don’t worry! There are still many, many videos on the Internet to console you, however meagerly. So let’s get to them now, before we’re too sad! HURRY!
10. Boy V. Lion
9. KITTEN WOULD LIKE TO PLAY, PLEASE
8. Cat Wants Rug
7. Puppy Snow Adventure
6. Kitten Escape
5. Mouse Buys A Treat
4. Puppy’s First Christmas
3. Pug Hops Up Stairs
2. Dad Is So Excited About His New Puppy
1. Happy New Year Dog
To be fair, “Happy New Year Dog” is only number one because it is the most timely. I feel bad for taking away its glory IMMEDIATELY, but this is 2013, and we can no longer lie to ourselves or to the animal videos we’re honoring. I still love you, though, “Happy New Year Dog”! And I love you, dad who got a puppy and is so happy about it! You are almost as sweet as the dad who got those football tickets! I almost didn’t watch the “pug hops up stairs” video because I thought it was a video I already had seen, but boy oh boy GOOD THING I FINALLY WATCHED IT ANYWAY! What a wonderful, perfect-length video that is basically just a great GIF. “Puppy’s First Christmas” is just crazy adorable, and “Mouse Buys A Treat” is a delight. Congratulations to our first winners of 2013. You deserve it! AND CONGRATS TO US!

My friend just moved into an apartment with his boyfriend like a month ago, and one day, his boyfriend came home with a 2-year-old husky. That was a fight, and they ended up returning the husky the same day. (Not sure how it’s a fight when one party is so clearly in the wrong, but sure, I guess.)
Puppy is really only a good present if the recipient is a) your child b) very vocally interested in receiving a puppy and not particular about choosing the puppy for him or herself. If the recipient is in fact either a or b, then a puppy is not only a good present, but the best present. Otherwise, that gift horse can be looked in the mouth!
I almost wrote a comment that was like “I HOPE THAT HUSKY FOUND A GOOD HOME” and then I deleted it because like whatever it’s fine but 40 minutes later and I’m still worried about it.
DO YOU KNOW IF THAT HUSKY FOUND A GOOD HOME
I don’t know
. I really hope so. That home, though, would not have been ideal. 2BR in an urban area, and the dog is apparently very afraid of the street.
Actually, you know what? Let’s just assume he found a good home. Purebred husky, 2 years old, in Seattle? I feel like he must have gotten adopted pretty fast. I refuse to believe otherwise.
Or my dad, who has mentioned many times that he can’t get a puppy himself because then he will just get ALL THE PUPPIES but my mom and I are pretty skilled at picking out puppies so he’d be happy if my mom and I picked out a puppy, but we shouldn’t get him a puppy because they’re a lot of work and you couldn’t go on vacation (except places that allow pets, which is all the places he goes to) and you’d have to go for walks all the time (a thing he enjoys), etc. So he should probably just get MY DOG because… yeah. Sorry dad. Get your own dog, maybe for late Christmas. If you are good.
But yes, I agree with this. Also, I’m pretty sure Puppy Snow Adventure would be my dream reality if I had a backyard. And snow. And adventures, though going in the backyard or tending to a backyard seems like enough adventure for the moment.
Yes! Also if you want to get someone a puppy, just tell them you’ll get them a puppy that they can pick out because you want the person to get a puppy that matches personality/etc. Plus some places (like the AWESOME Atlanta Pet Rescue in Atlanta…seriously…if you are looking for a new pet and you live anywhere near Atlanta, they are the BEST) make you bring other animals/family members when you pick out a new pet.
Cat Wants Rug wins in my heart forever. Disembodied cat paws are on my list of favorite things, especially if they are frantically grasping at something.
I bought my dog a Christmas tie on clearance, and it was the best decision I’ve made in a while . It didn’t seem to bother him at all, and it made me so happy. He looks so dapper and cute! This was the best picture I got.

Dang it! Let me try again

The dad with the puppy is the cutest thing I have seen since the dad with the football tickets. I now feel the need to shower my dad with presents until I get him something he doesn’t hate. SOMEDAY MY SHIP WILL COME IN.
Aaaahhhhh puppy’s first Christmas is so sweet! Some day when Kelly has a place with a yard she’ll get a puppy and I can come over to play with my grandpuppy.
I love the second kitten in the cat escape video, because [SPOILER ALERT] as soon as he gets over the divider, he already has regrets about having left his litter box and food. Sometimes the litter box isn’t cleaner on the other side, kitty!
I did not know that Let It Snow had so many verses. You learn something new every day!
I’m really worried that the lion actually wants to eat the little boy and not play with him. Probably should not be taunting her!
Best. Petting Zoo. Ever.
Dad with the new puppy? Get right out of town! Puppy Snow Adventure? Ridiculous. RiDICulous!
The kittens in #9 look like my cats when they kittens. Someone needs to play with that kitten!
