We have to admit, because it’s Christmas (kind of), and Christmas is when you tell the truth (or whatever) — you guys are much better at GIFs, and much more knowledgable of GIFs, than we could ever hope to be. While we can sort through the memorable GIFs of this past year, because we spend our lives on the Internet and have a fine enough handle of what goes on here, what we’re really searching for is what you guys have most frequently brought to our attention, and what you’ve made the MOST memorable animated GIFs of our year. So please, let this be a space where you can add what you believe to be your own Favorite or Most Memorable GIFs of the year 2012. If a GIF dances in the woods and a commenter on Videogum doesn’t love it, does it even dance? Does its text come up in time? Does anyone remember its relevance? No. Well, either no or yes. Is the point of this gif the confusion over the fact that the dugout seems like a particularly poor place for product advertisement? Or is it because they are wearing Orioles jerseys even though “redsox.com” is clearly displayed right there? And really, that leads off on a tangent over who the hell names their sports team after an article of clothing? And not just any article of clothing, but the lowly sock! It’s the 2nd worst piece of clothing, right after the cummerbund. And they misspelled it, too!
I just liked the missed handshake.

I don’t know if this originated this year, but it was my favorite set of GIFs I saw in 2012.

Can I go back and change my vote for every category in this year’s Gummys to this gif? It is DEFINITELY my favorite album of the year.

I actually think the second jump is my favorite thing ever. I like when she jumps off the goat, and there’s a sort of flip, but the sheer craziness of the 2nd jump takes it over the top.
Is that goat being mean?
