“Will You Be Here Tomorrow,” a 1998 industrial safety training video posted on YouTube by someone who claims to have seen it in a training class this week, sends the safety first message with a series of increasingly over-the-top and horror-movie-like accident scenarios. Whoever made this clearly had a total blast coming up with freak industrial accidents (a canister becomes a rocket that kills everyone in its path!):

Setting the forklift accident to rumba music was an ingenious artistic choice. (Thanks for the tip, Emily!)

  1. HOLY FUCKING FUCK.

  2. Is this really supposed to be a training video? How come it doesn’t review a single safety procedure? All it is is an incoherent string of horrifying work-related accidents. Awesome, horrifying, work-related accidents. This actually made me want to go into a factory and fire off a gas tank rocket. Talk about counter productive.

  8. Never get complacent, Lindsay. Or you too could end up using an acetylene torch to open a can of explosive gas…

  9. The ring finger getting yanked off was among the worst for me. Take that, married people!

  10. The guy at 1:45 seemed a little too happy to have his arm ripped off.

  11. The hand at :55 is causing me nightmares.

Jeez, the FX are better than most 80s slasher films.

  15. If I had seen that video during training, I think the obvious answer to that question would be, “No, I will not be here tomorrow.” I will be out looking for a new job because holy shit, this is nuts.

  16. That was right up there with the Saw movies.

  17. Classic. I especially like the cougar roar at 1:40 added for dramatic effect.

  18. I really don’t have anything funny to add… but what a perfect way to end the week. HAVE A SAFE WEEKEND EVERYONES EVERYONES.

BTW, this safety video is much better than Gary Coleman’s http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0713/

omg, i saw something totally similar to this where this guy fell into a pool of acid and all of him disintegrated except for his eyballs, because of coarse, life, they would float to the top

  22. personally, I suspect the cameraman. He’s the common thread!

  23. I vow never to step foot in a factory. Holy shit.

  24. That explosion at 4:27 put the nuclear war scenes in The Day After to shame.

  25. When I worked as an aircraft mechanic some guy was operating a power feed drill with gloves, and 1:40 happened. His whole arm didn’t come off though, he just crushed 3 fingers. Still pretty horrible.

  26. This is reminiscent of the chemistry safety video I had to watch in 10th grade.
