Hey, thank you so much to everyone who came to our one-year anniversary party last night! We like you guys, and it was fun drinking and talking IRL. Whoever dropped that glass really loudly at one point in the night was your boyfriend or girlfriend! Good times. Today is our actual one year anniversary, and since Gabe is off today (his contract stipulates that he gets all post-party days off to recover, the bastard), I’ll start today off with my favorite Videogum thing ever, first posted one year ago today: Double Dog: Gabe’s Trip To The Today Show With The Sign I Created. If you missed it, un-miss it. It’s awesome. I’m never throwing that sign away.
Now, back to cats and trampolines!

Congrats. I have to admit to being dubious about the site’s premise at first. If it hadn’t been for the talents of you two, this site never would have become one of my daily must-reads. Gabe and Lindsay = George and Gracie. (I’m also 72 years old.)

Ugh, I’m so tired of hearing the calls for Lindsay being fired (happened a ton around New Year’s). I love Gabe’s posts just as much as anyone, but I would not want him to take over completely because 1) the number of posts on the site would diminish greatly, 2) Lindsay’s posts are a good equalizer to Gabe’s cranky rants, and 3) Lindsay is great shut the fuck up.
As for the comments, I personally find the comments to be just as good (sometimes even funnier) than the posts themselves. You can choose to not read them if you find them so horrible.
Fuck you, both Lindsay and Gabe own our faces.

Congrats, you guys! I’ve seriously fallen in internet-love with you two, you never fail to make my day (everyday)! I wish I could have met you all and shared an hour of happiness, but maybe next year …maybe I’ll go on spring break to NYC and stand outside The Today Show and hold up my sign that says something like “LOOK OUT! VIDEOGUM BEEN HAD ENTERING IT’S TERRABLE 2s!!” –bring on the tantrums, I can’t wait!!
