In the pantheon of comedians who are currently great, Jim Gaffigan is in the top ten as far as I’m concerned. I even watch My Boys sometimes just for him. This Sunday, his Comedy Central special premieres, so let’s all watch it. Here’s a preview, in which Jim says a lot of things about Waffle House that are funny because they’re true:

Aside from being funny, Jim Gaffigan named his special “King Baby,” which must certainly refer to the greatest star of Intervention ever, Allison the “Queen Baby.” Jim Gaffigan would recognize the cultural significance of that term. (Too bad the Queen Baby t-shirts are no longer for sale.)

  1. Gawd I love Jim Gaffigan. It seems like a ton of comedians (aka Dane Cook) take their fame and never create new material or anything. Jim’s specials get better and better and better.

    I can’t wait for this =]]

  2. Food is this guy’s favorite topic. HOT POCKETS!

  3. i saw the promo for ‘king baby’ last night – and with all the talk of mascot heads I felt like jim gaffigan was speaking directly to me and my medically improbable and suspiciously large head.

Bill Hicks went to a Waffle House once. He wasn’t proud of it, but he was hungry.

  8. I love Gaffigan so much, and I am still kicking myself for not paying the $40 to go see him during this last tour. I will definitely be watching this!
