American Idol is stupid. Bob Odenkirk and Natasha Leggero’s Funny Or Die series, American Contestant, is not. The point of American Contestant is to impress the judges with your ability to ask to go to Hollywood, because life is just about asking, and TV talent shows are completely arbitrary. There’s a new episode today:
“I wouldn’t ask you to ask for anything.” Bob Odenkirk could pretend to be angry about the phone book and I would watch it. Previously on American Contestant: in episode one, Delicia attempts to sing, and in episode two, Evan’s near-perfect asking performance still doesn’t impress Odenkirk.

reality show drinking game: do a shot every time someone says ‘thank you for the opportunity.’
I prefer shots for every “I didn’t come here to make friends”
Buuut in all seriousness, Bob Odenkirk could ask me to rape a goat and I’d do it. Bob Odenkirk and David Cross together could ask me to rape poor African villagers and I’d do it. Odenkirk is neat perfect.
I find you a bit too eager to rape things.
“neat perfect” is my new favorite compliment. srsly.
So who’s the girl playing Paula Abdul in this? She needs an Oscar or something, immediately. That was epic.
