We are approaching the 10-year anniversary of Andrew W.K.’s I Get Wet, and in this contentious election year, this time of hate-sandwiches and trampires and people somehow still debating Ayn Rand’s goofy bullshit, we need his message of saying the word party a million times more than ever. Here is a new video for his old song “It’s Time To Party,” but with the music taken out, because of some reason I guess.

  3. I know what to do with him! Turn off the volume!

  4. Andrew W.K.’s Wikipedia page is bonkers. I highly recommend reading it, and be sure to scroll down to the “Self-help and motivational performance” section.

  5. I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to party with him. Like, all the time. All the goddamn night. Until you puke even. Took some time to sink in, but that’s the subtle, unspoken message that I’ve been getting for a while now.

  6. Dave Holmes, I just want to take this opportunity to remind you that you are very, very handsome.

  7. i don’t mean this in the derogatory sense, but in the literal sense: Andrew W.K. is a fun a fairy.

he is the closest thing we have to a real life great gazoo.

  8. I wanted to throw a really awesome birthday/book launch party so I got Andrew WK to play and it seriously was THE MOST FUN. So whatever your opinion of him or whatever music you’re into, he is a 100% guaranteed fun machine. Here he is getting stuck in all of the balloons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIRHq2JYHJE

  9. He just seems like the nicest most gregarious dude ever, remember when a fan of his died , but before they died they wanted him to play their funeral, so he played at their wake?

  10. Andrew W.K. is pure awesome. I shamefully admit that I got “I Get Wet” at some point to listen to ironically, but I actually really like listening to it for real now. Dude is just a constant nuclear blast of positivity and fun.

  11. Who are all these people we’re talking about today and why don’t I know any of them? Is it an East Coast/West Coast issue? Age? Lack of coolness? Anyhow I just pretended this article was about Louis CK because I can’t think of any other Andrews. I bet you guys can’t even see this comment. Maybe I’m a ghost.
