Two new red band clips from the upcoming Paul Rudd/Jason Segel OMG bromance I Love You, Man were released yesterday, and one of them, a scene in which Paul Rudd and Jon Favreau have a beer-drinking contest, is the first time to my knowledge that Paul Rudd has ventured to test the limits of his perfection. The dude vomits, is what I’m saying here, and it’s definitely gross, but someone made a choice to film it in such a sight-gaggy (so to speak!), unrealistic way that Paul Rudd’s purity remains intact. Barely. That one is for the boys who need every movie to have something gross in it. The other clip is for the girls who need every movie to have a female-bonding “That’s how we really talk!” scene. Both succeed in their missions.

Don’t come crying to me, I told you he vomits and I told you it’s gross:

The full scene from the trailer where Rashida Jones’s friends don’t know they’re on speakerphone:

So true! Ladies be knowing details. It’s a guy movie AND a chick flick. March 20!

  1. I just saw Clueless again, so it really doesn’t matter how much he throws up.
And also: a few days ago I dreamed I saw him and Rashida Jones walking down the street, as a real couple. What’s the deal, rapid eye movement sleep? Why can’t I have Paul Rudd for myself?

  2. Actually, I wasn’t so sure that I wanted to see the movie. But after that vomit clip, I definetly wanna see it. I’m a teenage boy stuck in a 30-something year old woman’s body.

  3. Oh my god, no one told me Barry Badrinath was in this movie! I was in Thailand playing ping-pong in Ding-Dang….

  4. i wanted to do the first clip after watching the second clip.

For about ten seconds, I thought Barack Obama’s speechwriter was going to make a cameo in this movie.
