Wow, right? Last night? Total wow.
Locke is back! But we knew that, didn’t we? Somehow? He’s like the white Jin. We knew he would be back. Remember that one time, I think it was Jack who was like “is he dead?” and Ben was like “sort of, don’t worry about it, next question, please!” Very suspicious. So the island brings people back to life? As long as they’re in a coffin in the cargo hold of an airplane? Jack’s dad is actually alive and not a weird human-shaped smoke monster? Whatever. As usual, so many more questions than answers. But Locke is back! But he is not back with Jack and the gang! Those guys seem to have time-warped while the rest of the passengers crash-warped. He is back with the new Losties. I told you they would stick around. Then Locke is all “I know who killed me.”

But the real surprise last night is that A WAR IS COMING, YOU GUYS! I don’t know who to believe.

I mean, Ben definitely seems like a bad guy again, right? NOT SO FAST. Without him, Locke might not have been able to go through with his suicide and the gang would never have gotten back together to go back to the island. Everyone played a part! And it’s not like you can “trust” Mr. Whidmore. He is untrustworthy! Then again, he did remind Locke that he had never tried to kill him while Ben had, and then later in the episode Ben does, so I’m feeling pretty Team Whidmore these days. I just hope I’ve picked the right t-shirt in this war!
I wear a men’s medium.

Walt looks like he wouldn’t even need a fake ID.
He needs a fake SAG card, cause that kid can’t act his way out of a paper bag island.
No shit. Did you register the shock and surprise on Walt’s face as he HOLY FUCKING SHIT THERE’S JOHN LOCKEd while coming out of school? IN A GODDAMN WHEELCHAIR AND WHAT THE FUCK?! was like, all over Walt’s glassy face. You know what school Walt was leaving? Juilliard.
amazing episode, prob best of the season… tough kate, like when locke came to her, annoys me thou
Maybe if someone gave Kate a nice house and someone else’s kid to watch before Oceanic Flight 815 took off, we would never have had to put up with her.
RIP Lt. Daniels. Are the new Losties going to try to kill Locke ala Walt’s dream?
I personally wouldn’t trust either side. Give me Team Richard any day.
His eyeliner automatically makes him a bad guy, maybe? And maybe, just maybe Ben only killed Locke because he knows that he can bring him back via the whole coffin in the airplane trick. I don’t really know what to think anymore, the whole thing’s getting like whoa!
I’m feeling Widmore a little bit more, but there has to be some major beef between Ben and Widmore to make this war thing a possibility. Or is the war even between those two? They both want John back on the island pretty badly, so maybe it’s about getting him to join one side or the other?
Whidmore is responsible for Ben’s kind of daughter getting killed. That’s grade-A major beef.
but it had to have started before then, right? It sounded like it was Ben vs. Widmore when they were both on the island, way before Alex came into the picture.
And now that I’m thinking about it, Richard approached Ben when he was younger, so doesn’t that make him Richard-approved like Locke? I wonder where Widmore fits in to this leadership thing… so many questions.

Team Widmore for the time being because Daniels’ death was more jarring to me than Locke’s. Also, I’m still concerned that Ben might have killed Penny before they went back. And I’m also now slightly less embarrassed about the fact that I follow Diplo on twitter.
I’m joining the secret third option. Team John fuckin’ Locke. Anyone who comes back from the dead gets my vote. I wonder what he’s gonna do to Ben. Oh and quick question… they crashed on the tiny island offshore right? The one they held Jack, Kate, and Sawyer during the most boring episodes of the show? That’s why they were able to find a dharma station so fast, right? AND I cannot wait until Locke and Jack bump into each other. Jack is gonna freak the fuck out.
Ben is bad. Ben is good. Ben is lying, he’s not lying, he is lying, he’s always lying (except when he’s not). Widmore is bad. Widmore is very bad. But wait, Widmore is good. Ben tries to kill John Locke, Ben doesn’t want John Locke to die, Ben kills John Locke, John Locke is alive. Three planes have crashed onto an island no one can see. John Locke believes everyone, even after they lie, and Jack can’t believe anything, ever, no matter what.
I am going to rape this show in the fucking face if it doesn’t clear some things up.
That’s a pretty good summary.
Good recap. But I still love this show.
Amen, brotha.

Unless you’re raping a good a time, eh?
“hey walt. haven’t seen you in three years. everything okay?”
“i had a bad dream about you mr. locke.”
“ok walt, great catching up with you. have a nice life.”
seriously, wtf was that scene?
I’ve concluded:
Locke = Jesus
They want you to conclude John Locke = Jesus. The whole theme of this year is resurrection, and it’s no coincidence that the Ajira flight number was 316 (John 3:16).
So is a holy war coming? Is Jesus important, or is Jesus just an old man who crashed on an island?
Plus, in biblical terms, Jacob is the great-grandfather of Aaron. Who would that be on the show? Oh, Jack’s grandpa. Didn’t they just introduce him completely randomly the other episode? Hmm…
You are a badass.
Locke > Jesus
I stand firmly on Team Ben. Not because I don’t think he’s evil, but because he will TURN THIS CAR AROUND if I don’t love him enough. I love you so much, Ben.
Word. Don’t care if he’s evil, Team Ben FTW!
Real Talk: Whidmore did send a freighter stuffed with C-4 and Keamy to the island. No way that was only to capture Ben. And he was a total ass when he was young.
Also: how many people have declared themselves the Leader of the Others by now?
The lost writers must be salivating now that they have a whole new plane of red shirts to kill off, between the c-4 last season, the camp raids and the flaming arrows of death they were running low on expendables.
Additionally, I am of the opinion that the Locke/WAAAAALT scene was so weird because they were communicating telepathically. Or something. Remember how Walt has magic powers for some reason and it lets him transport to the island as a ghost and also kill birds he reads about? Yea, telepathy.
I agree with the Locke=Jesus thing. That very much makes Linus the devil himself but he did apologise to locke at the end of the last season so Whidmore must be the bad guy. He did kill his mate apparently for no reason
I hope the bible has a lot to do with the last 15 episodes. Then it would have all been worth it.
I’m not sure that it is possible to have just been making it up as they go along for the last couple of seasons and still have the show be this good. plus locke is the best and I’m glad that they brought him back (with an actually really solid reasoning behind it!)
Hello? No one thinks it’s maybe slightly important that Ben was all, “Hey, John, gray skies are gonna clear up,” right until Locke mentioned Ms. Hawking? Real talk, Ms. Hawking is the key to all this Team Ben/Widmore business. Also, I think that episode could have used a few more scenes where John Locke wakes up in a hospital.
Yes, I realize it is a drama, yes I realize they need to built tension over 5 years….but FUCK! ask a question! finish a sentence! demand an explanation!
Locke shows up at your home and you just want a anecdotal story about an ex? lost, i want to be in an abusive relationship with you so i can equal parts beat and love you.
Its entirely possible that Ben knew that Locke would come back, once on the island. There’s a not [completely] retarded theory about dead people coming back and living forever, if brought to the island, like Christian, or Richard possibly crashing there on the Black Rock (I’m not convinced hes time travelling, and as Paul Scheer said, all pirates wear eyeliner, ie Jack Sparrow). In any case, you always have to go Team Richard.
Men’s medium. Pshah!
I was just fortunate that this week’s episode didn’t feature Desmond’s “I’m-so-mad-I-had-Bells-Palsy!” face.
Abaddon’s lean-man tailored look: FLAWLESS.
Team Ben.
Cuz whether he’s good or bad, we all know he’s fuckin’ badass.
My guess, Ben still wants to kill everybody that knows the location of the island.
