As you may remember, Gabe already posted one of the best animal videos from this week on Monday afternoon. It’s fine! No one is upset about it. No one was really excited about that duck video when they saw it and knew they’d place it at least CLOSE to number one in their animal video countdown that week and it’s all totally fine. I mean, it’s true that we all AT LEAST got to enjoy that duck video together, no matter how we did. Right? We have to remember the good things in life or we’ll never make it through. But, like, that was one of the best ones. So you should watch that one again. What else do you guys want to talk about? Did anyone get a minipig THIS week? Do you have an answer to the question about how affectionate they are yet? On a scale of cat to dog? PLZ LET ME KNOW IF YES. Is everyone’s day going a little better now that they know they have a bunch of animal videos to watch all in one place? Great. Perfect. Mine too. Ok so shut up let’s watch them already!

OH MY GOD I WANT THAT MONKEY TO HUG MY HEAD RIGHT NOW! What a cute monkey! AHHHHH! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! So good. Great video, guys. You only needed to film yourself having a wonderful time and now it’s the #1 video in the most influential top 10 animal video countdown in the world. Congratulations. The second video, of the baby playing with the money through the glass, could seem a bit mean, but the way I see is that the monkey and the baby are probably in the same spot. “Why can’t I play with this thing? What is this hard surface between us? Why can’t we play?” If you think of it that way, the only mean people are the parents. Throw that baby in the monkey cage! Let those two guys play! Real keyboard cat and dog surfing competition seem like obvious choices. As does seal burping. You get it. Congratulations, guys! Everyone’s a winner because everyone got to see these videos, hooray!

That bat video is truly great for so many reasons! That guy! I unashamedly love that guy! “If you’re a bat watching, make sure you get at least 6 spoonfuls of water a day!” “I gave the bat hiccups!” He’s like your favorite goofy uncle, if your favorite goofy uncle were a biologist. Also: The random Batman soundbite at the end!
Get outta here with the baby and chimp!! So good. Like, I could barely stand how cute that was.
Also, guy with the hugging monkey, why were you trying to bite the monkey? That monkey is a monkey and probably dirty no matter how good you are at taking care of it! That monkey’s face got so close to your mouth!! Ahhh! But still, keep hugging people’s faces monkey! You’re cute!
My best friend’s dad is a biologist and his specialty is in fact bats! He and the guy in the video should be friends.
(He really is awesome. He has a “bat house” for bats to live in that is shaped like the Batman logo. He also picked me up from the airport when I came to visit and brought a tiny bat he was about to go release because I said I wanted to hold one. It feels like holding nothing at all except that nothing is adorable and clings to your fingers and sleeps.)
Aw man! Your friend’s dad sounds amazing! I am very jealous that you got to hold a tiny bat. Your friend’s dad and that guy in the video should definitely vlog together. I would watch those videos. I bet it would be super entertaining.
I had a roommate a hundred years ago who was getting his phd in bat-study (I used to know what the real term for it was). He was the best, very enthusiatic. He would come home from the lab at like 4 in the morning and spend hours showing me scatter graphs he had plotted, and I didn’t even mind because he was so perfect and handsome and I had such a crush on him! I made him a raspberry spice cake in the shape of a bat when his dissertation was poorly received and a card with batman beating up a thesis that said “Sorry to hear about the BAT reception of your thesis!” I also learned plenty of interesting bat-related facts living with him, like that vampire bats have suction cups on their feet that allow them to walk up walls and glass (learned this because I would ask him many questions about how factual the Batman TV series was).

I can teach you to surf. We can go to the aquarium and visit penguins. We might even spot a rude seal! You can make friends with goats, even if they are bullies sometimes.
You can make friends with talkative cats and help them play they keyboard. My friend’s dad came come over and introduce us all to baby bats.
We would have so much fun.
Please consider coming home with me, corgi puppies. I have so many cardboard boxes.

Yeah dude. Monkeys are cute, at a distance. But seeing them in real life is totally weird. They’re a little too much like people hahaha.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that munchkin kitten video before and I’m not complaining because now i am going to look at munchkin cat videos for the next hour.
I sincerely belief that the bat dude is closely related to Rick Steves.
If animal videos are any barometer of cultural trends, then Russia (or wherever that monkey face video is from) is totally the new Japan.

Actually that was a chimpanzee and as you know, chimps are apes not monkeys.
