The Academy Awards are this Sunday duh. And we are, after all, a blog duh. So we will be liveblogging the Academy Awards duh. PARTY TIME! EXCELLENT! SCHWING!
We’re trying to make it as fun as a Sunday night on the internet can be. So there will be a Videogum chat room for everyone to hang out in. (Seriously. 1998, you guys. Go L.A. Confidential!) We’ll also get the old Videogum Twitter going. And, of course, we expect and demand your thoughtful and witty comments in the comment section of the actual blog post, because we feel that having to do this alone is not fair, and that you should also have to do this, because that is what America is all about. Friendship.
In lieu of Friday Fight this week, because we felt it was more important to bring you this incredible announcement of what is obviously going to be the greatest night of your entire life (unless you’re the kid from Can’t Hardly Wait, in which case how’s that all-downhill-from-here thing working out?), Lindsay and I have posted our Oscar predictions after the jump. Whoever loses has to go to the movie of the winner’s choosing and write about it. Relevant!

Thank God they finally got rid of that stupid “Best Cinematography” category.
Thanks, fixed!
a recap the next day making fun of the whole thing would suffice. am i right or am i right?
Live blog gets me excited and Lindsay is easily going to win!
My life needs more Wayne’s World references.
Predictionwise I can’t wait to prove that this is a fake.
Liveblogging (Refresh site FTW!), twittering and chat room is a really cross century/plattform textbased approach, I guess.
A chat room?! Finally we can get a real good discussion going about Hugh Jackman peeing his pants!
