BUY MORE WHEAT THINS! OR DON’T! THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE ENDLESS CHOICES YOU WILL BE PRESENTED WITH BETWEEN THE DAY YOU ARE BORN AND THE DAY YOU DIE, BUT THIS ONE HAPPENS TO INVOLVE TRACY MORGAN TALKING TO GERBILS AND SO HERE WE ARE, TOGETHER.

Did you mean to post this in the solo eating thread?
Wheat Thins are hip all of a sudden? I remember Sandy Duncan doing these ads.
With her glass eye.
Are you saying Sandy Duncan isn’t hip?
You tell me.
I’m saying she probably doesn’t have a hip. NOT THESE DAYS.
So we’re back on the promise now? When did that happen?
If I came home and gerbils were trying to eat my Wheat Thins, I’D STAB THE SHIT OUTTA THEM.
BRING IT.

fun fact: this ad was originally pitched to Richard Gere.
has anyone else noticed Parmesan & Basil Wheat Thins no longer being kept in stock at their local retailers and started panicking that these new flavors are the future, a future with no place for you? (asking for a friend)
Who even cares about Wheat Thins? There is only one cracker that even matters, and I’m SURE Tracy Morgan would be advertising for that one if people wouldn’t immediately call racism on a black man schilling for chicken-flavored crackers.

Gourmet tip: eat a Chicken in a Biscuit and a Bacon Thin at the same time for that classic chicken club experience
True confession. I eat about 3 boxes of Wheat Thins a week. I also follow them on twitter and they have mailed me free boxes of their new flavors.
Will you be my life coach?
Then, as a gay man, I imagine you must feel quite conflicted about this commercial.
Well, yeah. As a gay cracker it’s very difficult for me. And yes truckasaurus I will be your life coach!
All I see is an EGOT-less homophobe in pajamas hocking my favorite snack cracker.
Sooooo….is no one else worried about the homophobism (it is sort of a word…) of Wheat Thins? Why would they hire him to schlep their product?
Probably because they don’t think Tracy Morgan is a homphobe nor do a significant portion of consumers, or they don’t care if he is or if the public thinks he is, and his comedic presence outweighs any bad past PR.
Gotta say that I don’t think he’s homophobic. He’s just a nut job like a lot of people from Hollywood.
He also made possibly the only genuine apology any celebrity has ever issued after saying something bigoted.
