“Bobby used to be more of an indoor child. He’d spend hours in his room reading or playing on the computer. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the outdoors, but as trite as it may sound, children can be cruel, and I think he had a lot of trouble with the neighborhood boys. We would try to encourage him to make some friends with our neighbors’ kids, or to join a group at school, but he just preferred to be on his own, and eventually we stopped pushing because we figured it was a phase he was going through and that one day he’d come out of it. You can’t really force your children to be something they’re not, you know? Anyway, it looks like we were right. He loves his new winter cap. You’d never believe how just a hat could change a kid’s whole life. He comes home from school and he can’t wait to go outside and play in the snow or chase some of the neighborhood boys around, everyone just screams with laughter. Sometimes he’ll take along a pencil. I don’t know what that’s all about, but he keeps saying something about a magic trick. When he goes out to play he always says “Mommy, let’s put a smile on that face!” It’s just nice to hear him even talking about smiling since he seemed so unhappy for so long.”

This shit is real, and that is ridiculous.
