Someone (“Chris Kattan,” allegedly) (definitely not Chris Kattan) wrote a full-length screenplay based on the SNL character Mr. Peepers and sent it to SFWeekly, and you can read some of it here. So basically it’s all coming together for us.

And here I was worried that our generation would never find its version of the Muppets.
I can believe it was Chris Kattan. He doesn’t seem to have much else to do these days.
I love how the dude has had literally years to plot his next project and the best idea he came up with was a movie about the apple-spitting monkey-man that got old even in short form.
I don’t even remember Mr. Peepers. Lucky me!
I’ll pass on Peepers, but stick a pin in the authoritative character that speaks gibberish.
Going back in time I’d have taken a Mr. Peepers movie over Corky Romano.
Can’t be worse than Night at the Roxbury.

You can read the entire thing-

Actual excerpt:
LEWIS
Sir?
MR. PEEPERS
Bah!
LEWIS
Sir?
MR. PEEPERS
Bah!
LEWIS
Sir?
MR. PEEPERS
(turning towards him)
Bah!
LEWIS
Yes, sir.
From the excerpts it seems like it’s a remake of Being There…. but with Mr. Peepers instead of Peter Sellers.
