This is a sculpture by the artist Rafael Barrios, who was chosen by the New York City Parks Department to have a bunch of his pieces displayed along Park Avenue. I’m sorry if you didn’t understand anything I just said because your brain exploded out of your ears as soon as you saw the video of the sculpture, because you have no idea how it works and you can’t really figure out whether you don’t know how it works because your brain is out of your ears now, or if you would NEVER have known how it worked anyway, and now you’re too busy cleaning up your brain to think about any of it. I’m sorry for all of that! BUT ISN’T THIS JUST THE BEST? And did you get that the title was supposed to be “are you ready for some football”?! (Via UniqueDaily.)

“I knew how it worked just by looking at it once.” – Mark Wahlberg
If I built an optical illusion sculpture shit would go down differently
From a distance it seemed awesome, but from up close it was just flat and disappointing.
(Sigh…)
i was so confused because i am not hipster dad. jolly good sir
I just wanted to let you know that this has happened to me before. If you want to start a support group I’m cool with that. But I’ll bet you were wondering what hipsterdad was doing on your computer, let alone your house.
Putting optical illusion sculptures where they can distract drivers: good idea or best idea?
What I’m saying is there’s gonna be more people getting rear ended on Park Avenue than in Lady Mary’s bedroom.
Zoom!
Henderson!
That’s no optical illusion, that’s WITCHCRAFT.
If God wanted giant domino pieces to fly, he would have given them wings
I can’t believe they revealed how they did it. I have to think the alliance will look down on this.
Oh, so the title was referencing football? Good job using your allusion
I was driving north on La Brea in LA, en route to the comic book store (LADIES), to go see the NerdMelt show (COMEDIANS), and buy comics (again, LADIES) and as I approached a red traffic light a storefront to my left caught my eye. it was a wall of giant tvs, probably about 5 tall and 6 wide, so 30 total, and each tv had a close up of different women’s lipglossed mouths eating things; bananas, strawberries, popsicles, etc. Talk about a distraction to drivers.
