I was only able to watch the second half of 30 Rock last night, because sometimes in life the most terrible things in the world can happen to you right when you least expect it, like when something happens and you miss the second half of a TV show that you meant to watch both halves of. But from what I gathered, something about Frank breaking up with his girlfriend and then getting back together with her? And also: meatballs? And also: Kenneth wasn’t wearing his page uniform? Those are really the only things that I gathered. Was it good?! I hope you all enjoyed it! I did see all of Parks and Recreation, obviously, I would never miss all of that no matter WHAT the world threw at me (no matter HOW MANY restaurants it made me stay at for a few minutes too long). That was good! It’s too bad that, even though Bobby Newport was talked about for the whole episode, we never got to SEE Bobby Newport. More Bobby Newport! Bring! Him! Back! Why does Ann work at the Parks department now? What happened to all of her patients at the hospital? Are they all dead? What’s going on there? Anyway, yes, it was a good episode — more of a “plot” episode than a “jokes” episode, but I did like when Adam Scott asked Leslie if she wished he were taller. LOL. Love those two. The Office was fine! I did enjoy it. I enjoyed hipster Erin, and Jim’s presentation. And Dwight got that job he wanted! Great, good for all of them. I watched Up All Night and Will Forte was on it! That show is consistently fairly enjoyable. WHAT DID YOU THINK?

“I’m not creative.”
Oh, Leslie. You are the best.
Did anyone watch the pilot for Awake? It wasn’t part of the comedy block I guess, but it did have Wilmer Valderrama which is pretty funny that someone would cast him. But they also cast a bunch of cool people like the young lady from Terriers and the baddie from Harry Potter. Anyway, I thought it was a cool concept and it’ll be interesting to see how that show gets ruined in some way, right?
I was into it for the first half. They should have done a commercial-free pilot or something–too many breaks in a show that flashes between two realities. But I’ll probably watch again.
There used to be a show from the UK with the exact same plot. It was good, and then it disappeared.
Jason Isaacs is HAWT.
I watched it. I think if this were an 10-episode TELEVISION EVENT or something that had a definite plan to resolve I would be way more into it, but I don’t know if I have the energy / time to put into something that’s open-ended and may not have a plan for the conclusion (or what to do if the series lasts pasts the planned conclusion). I guess I want mini-series to come back? IDK
Also Jason Isaacs sounds like Dustin Hoffman. Now YOU can be distracted by it.
Good point Patrick M. I’m afraid that the show will either get cancelled early, or get popular enough to drag on without ever resolving what’s actually going on. Like it’ll be a show that keeps repeating the formula of a guy solving crimes based on clues from an alternate reality. They do that long enough for people to get bored with the show and then it dies a slow death without ever getting a chance to reveal what’s going on.
10 episode event would be a great idea.
Basically I want someone to re-make “Wild Palms”
I love the little hum she does right after this…
I don’t have any fancy gifs, but last night’s Archer was one of the funniest episodes of the series.
“C’mon, you were pushing rope!”
“Everything I’m wearing is suede! Everything I’m wearing is suede!”
This is actually Wednesday night tv related, but I did not see it until last night. Is anyone watching America’s Next Top Model? You should be! It is bananas! Watch it, and report back! I will wait!
Back? I KNOW! So bananas!
Jump on this trampoline and look like a fierce Margaret Thatcher!
I love how the judges were so critical of the pictures but did not mention that they were crap because THE PHOTO SHOOT PREMISE WAS TOTALLY BAZONKERS. Never change, Tyra.
I really miss ALT. The new judge was terrible. “She’s not wearing the clothes, the clothes are wearing her.” UGH.
Pocahontas vs. John Lennon is now a comedy high point in my life. It may all be downhill from here.
no doy.
also this GEM:
(sorry i took these pictures of the tv with my phone cause i wasnt about to not post them to facebook and tag everyone i know because LOLOLOL)
Apparently my DVR really hates 30 Rock. This is the second time I’ve gotten all excited, clicked on my recordings, and seen the Colbert Report from the night before sitting at the top, mocking me.
IT WAS REGULAR WHITE-TAN CANDLE COLOR!
Donna?
Tig Notaro!
Was anyone else waiting for an A Clockwork Orange reference during Ryan/Jim’s presentation?
You guys, CARL REINER .gifs or Parks and Rec didn’t happen!!! Seriously, his first joke out of the gate sent me to LOLsville. Love him!!
When Creed slapped Meredith in the back of the head, screamed, and then ran out of the room, I LOLed. A lot.
I am looking forward to the episode where Leslie rips Jennifer Barkley’s still-beating heart out of her chest and devours it.
Maybe I’m way off on this, but there was a moment on 30 Rock where Stanley Tucci’s Henry Warren character is in the act of sitting on the sofa (SeaBiscuit) and he makes an expansive hand movement while saying “Encyclopedias” and I had some vague memory-association with a commercial from the early 90s. Anyone else, or was I reading a reference into nothing?
UGH! I wish someone had responded to this comment! I did not get the reference at all if it was one, and I want to know now too!
ANYONE WANNA TALK ABOUT RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE?
Oooh!!!
Anybody here watched Chuck? Because it made me happy to see his cut out face on tv after that :’( finale.
