During a recent webchat with readers at Empire (via FilmDrunk) Nic Cage was asked if there are any characters he’d like to revist, and deftly sidestepping suggestions for Dr. Stanley Goodspeed (from “The Rock”) or Cameron Poe (from “Con Air”), he gave this answer instead: “I would like to hook up with one of the great Japanese filmmakers, like the master that made ‘Ringu,’ and I would like to take ‘The Wicker Man’ to Japan, except this time he’s a ghost.”

Hahahahahaha. Holy cow. I can’t believe how incredible that idea is. I’d like to redo every interview Nic Cage has ever done, except this time he’s a genius. Thank you, Nicholas Cage! Thank you everyone! START THE PRESSES AGAIN! AS YOU WERE! (Thanks for the tip, Amy!)

    Last weekend, I was sitting around with some friends and a commercial for Ghost Rider 2 came on. We all made fun of the idea that there would be a sequel to a movie that we all thought had been pretty unpopular. So we started guessing how much money the first one made at the box office. After a minute of this, we looked it up. The answer was a mind-blowing $237,000,000. I guess that’s why there’s a sequel.
