Finally we ge to talk about the bear waving video! I feel like I’ve been holding my breath for one hundred days, that’s how much I’ve wanted to talk about this bear waving video. Have you guys seen it? I’m sure you must’ve seen it. If you haven’t seen it don’t worry, I’ve included it in the list and you’ll see it shortly. One annoying thing about the bear waving video, though, is that — and this is just my own observation — sometimes when you excitedly send it to your friends, eager to spread just the tiniest amount of joy in this bleak world, they respond by saying, “Yeah, but after you watch the video a bunch of other videos pop up of other bears doing the exact same thing.” Ugh. UGH. This is true, to be fair, but can’t you guys all just leave it alone and love this specific bear-waving video for what it is? A PERFECT video? Of a bear doing a human thing? It’s almost the holidays, for crying out loud. So, let’s see it! And all the other ones! HOORAY!

1. Seal Pup Home Invader
Congratulations, Seal Pup Home Invader! This video is a little peculiar because the video is actually not very good, but the story behind the video is AMAZING! A woman in New Zealand awoke in the night to find a tiny fur seal pup, who crawled in through her cat door, curled up and sleeping on her couch. And she had to call her friends to make sure she wasn’t hallucinating. And that’s pretty much the end of the story, you can click on the link to read more about it, but that is the best thing I could ever imagine finding asleep on your couch!! My God. What a cute thing. Anyway, so, yes, congratulations on your number one spot! You really earned it. Waving bear, of course, comes in second. I hope people don’t think the bearded dragon video is cruel because the bearded dragon thinks he should be getting real ants. I’m sure he gets plenty of real ants! And look how good he is at that game! Congratulations to him. Ooh, the dog who eats in the special high chair, he has to eat in the special high chair because he has congenital megaesophagus, which makes it so he can’t eat on all fours. But look at how it doesn’t slow him down! What a trooper! Look at how he knows how to get into the chair himself and is so excited about it! Love ya, dog. Basically all the videos this week are amazing and I don’t think any of the other ones need any explanation. So, you’re all great! CONGRATULATIONS!

i’m fairly convinced that sloths are aliens. adorable aliens that forgot where they parked their spaceship.
Sloths (only the Three Toed…. Booo! Booo Two Toed Sloth and your fast movement!) and Manatees were my favorite animals as a kid… me and my therapist are still working that one out.
Oh golly, this is so good.
Did you know that Three Toes Sloths move at a top speed of .10 mph and they are so languid they don’t groom themselves and algae will grow in their fur creating a symbiotic relationship with insects. True story.
And sometimes they will lick the algae for a little sugar rush!
Facts!
The “Owl loves Dog” video was perfect until that stupid human started talking. The water sprinkler is the only soundtrack it needs! Leave it alone! Although, I kind of liked the random “So did you…?” comment. So did you WHAT? Film the dog and the owl? Water the lawn? Drink your coffee? The world will never know.
“Yeah, but after you watch the video a bunch of other videos pop up of other bears doing the exact same thing.” OH, WHAT A TERRIBLE PROBLEM TO HAVE.
My twitter wish came true!

*pats self on back*
I sent her the link too!

SLOTH ALLIANCE
Look how much that sloth loves Ryan Gosling! Sloth alliance!

After watching this video I told a coworker I would consider having children if they were sloths. Can’t decide what this says about me..
It says you like this:

More than this:
That’s okay right?
It is a very ugly baby.
Don’t worry, her mom knows

Today I watched a pit bull dance around and attempt to eat rain. IT WAS THE BEST.
This might be my favorite collection yet.
slow loris! oh man do i love slow lorises. i wish i had put that on my christmas list.
also, sloths are ewoks, but better.
Hey did it look to you like that loris had opposable thumbs? I thought only humans had that.
slow lorises are allowed to have them because how else could they hold tiny umbrellas?
Primates have thumbs. That is one of the defining characteristics.
How “opposable” they are vary by species, but they generally use them to climb or grab stuff.
The amount that Slow Lois (that’s his name) is enjoying that tangerine makes me enjoy life more.
I love how owls always look super-serious no matter how cute whatever they’re doing actually is. That owl is like, “I am going to nibble your ear AND THERE WILL BE NO BACK-TALK ABOUT IT, MISTER.”
Except when they look a little hungover…

All of these videos are number one and the best and oh these make my day so happy.
I love the adorable melon-headed baby getting attacked by that puppy. Also, inside the lion cub’s head, he sounds fierce. And, those people in the car should have thrown out a treat for the waving bear! He’s so sweet and friendly! I did feel sorry for the bearded dragon, but it was so fun to see him play that game and be so good at it.
I second your sentiment about the bearded dragon. He’s acting on instincts, but he’s not getting any actual bugs to eat! His owner had better have given him some bugs afterward as a reward for the internet content he just provided!
Lets all send him some real bugs. Through the internet. Wait, maybe no.
I’ve never done this before (TWSS), but here’s a link for the Petting Zoo? I hope this is kosher (posting a link here, not the actual link, which is completely unclean-animal free)…

I have started looking forward to this on Wednesdays SO much. And I usually only watch the short videos, or about 30-40 seconds of the longer ones, but I watched the entire slow loris video. It was very meditative.
PSSH. As an avid follower of both baby human AND animal videos, I would like to state that this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIeUVc8_qrQ ) is a much better baby-puppy video than #10.
Bears wave, Kelly, that’s just what they do.
