How great was this season of The Sarah Silverman Program? I still don’t loooove the singing, but the rest of the show has really come into its own in the second season. In fact, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that if Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes are rated on a scale of 1-10, 10 being one of the best episodes, like “The Doll,” The Sarah Silverman Program is consistently turning in sixes or sevens. It’s that good. Season 2 ended last week, but Comedy Central is still putting up behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast, like this one about the making of the episode in which Sarah gets married to her dog, Doug. The dog is played by Sarah’s real dog “A stoned decision that we have to live with” and the cast and crew quickly learned that most shows use trained dogs for a reason:
(Via CC Insider.) If you didn’t catch, particularly, the episode in which Sarah makes up her own slang, it’s a must-see. And it guest stars Stephen Root as the inventor of the word “Booya.”

Yeah the dog’s acting was pretty ozay.

/misses quality satire: Mr. Show, Stangers With Candy, The State…
i don’t really get that sentence that has Curb Your Enthusiasm in it?
Recent Sarah Silverman episodes are as good as mid-level-good Curb episodes.
I can agree with that.
ruff time
You don’t like the singing in this show you say? But what about the episode where she pees in the bed and the little girl in the grocery store gets her hip to the magic of “DRY SHEETS! ICE CREAM! JELLY BEANS! THREE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!” ? That’s still a favorite in my household.
