Access Hollywood had an exclusive first look at the trailer for the latest Apatow-unrelated Judd Apatow movie, I Love You, Man, starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, with a premise that’s basically Bromance: The Movie. Even with Billy Bush talking over it, it has potential:
We know from Over Her Dead Body that just putting Paul Rudd in a movie does not, as previously believed, make that movie watchable, but I have a lot of faith in the Rudd-Segel chemistry to transcend the romantic comedy genre. There’s definitely going to be some sort of bad montage at the end though, I can feel it.

So, what’s with all the “I Love You” movies coming out next year?
I Love You, Man
I Love You, Beth Cooper
I Love You, Phillip Morris
New York, I Love You
What the hell?
Paul Rudd + Jason Segel + Rashida Jones + Pixies’ “Here Comes Your Man” = Potentially OK, despite the lackluster premise.
