This is a 47-year-old short film directed by Adam McKay starring Steve Buscemi, Will Ferrell, Tracy Morgan, Horatio Sanz, and more. And I know that this is just the smoke of nostalgia getting in my failing eyes, but it really makes you feel like Saturday Night Live used to be less hit-or-miss. Aw, look at me carrying on.
It’s official: the nation’s economy is in a recession. Better get some extra bayonet-mounted chainsaws for your assault rifle. And most importantly remember: gum is not food.

I remember this being one of the best things I saw at that time on SNL. And that’s on top of some memorable TV Funhouse and regular sketches. Too bad Samberg and his crew haven’t done anything to top this (not that they haven’t tried once a year).
I also remember The Glenn Frey “The H is O” sketch being hilarious and disturbing.
“‘Someone took a crap in your store you know’
‘Don’t eat it’”
Ha-HA! Buscemi was is and will always be the best.
“Cold cockin redheaded dudes just for the eff of it” is the funniest thing Sanz has ever said.
“And I know that this is just the smoke of nostalgia getting in my failing eyes, but it really makes you feel like Saturday Night Live used to be less hit-or-miss.”
Let’s remember that while this was the era of Will Ferrell and Adam Mckay’s finest work (in addition to Tim Meadows), it was also the era of Molly Shannon, Chris Kattan and Colin Quinn doing Weekend Update.
You had me up until you mentioned Colin Quinn. That guy is made of pure FAIL.
Thank god that, unlike Goat in this sketch, the world has not given Horatio Sanz a second chance.
