It looks like right now the show will only go on if the cast accepts a 45% pay cut. But the characters have so much more left to explore!

I bet Mole Man is fine with this.
There is no way Mr. Burns will take that kind of pay cut.
OK Simpsons, go away now.
Geez, don’t hvae a cow, man!
The Simpsons is my favorite show of all time, but yes, they need to just end.
We’ll just skip to the gif.
The Simpsons can end, sure, but unlike a live action show you can’t just reshoot an animated series ender last-minute. If the show ended now, it would be awkward and wouldn’t give the creators a chance to do something fun. (I know, I’ve got Nerd People Problems.) Of course, the show is way beyond its prime, but it would be great if they could have a chance for a proper send off; hell, bring back Conan’s writing staff for the last few episodes.
Please use the idea Conan had for ending The Simpsons in that terrible Morgan Spurlock documentary.
“Marge is gonna take a good, hard look at Homer and say he’s so stupid and he’s screwed us over so many times. It’ll be humorless. It won’t be funny. It’ll just be her looking at Homer and saying, “You are such a stupid son of a bitch. I, you’re endangering my children. You’ve destroyed the town 600,000 times. You’re, you, you’re a threat to mankind. I’m leaving you. I’m leaving you forever.”"
D’oh.
It always comes down to the d’oh, doesn’t it?
Might be finally time to retire the “Afro Bart” tshirt I got in 1989.
Simpsons finish? That’s unpossible!
It’s perfectly Cromulent for good TV Shows to just call it a day
I predict a tragic end:

Don’t cry for the Simpsons. It’s already dead.
I am not sure why, but this post just reminded me for perhaps the first time in 15 years, that I at one time both owned and loved the Simpsons Sing the Blues cassette tape. I think I might be caught in a memory spiral. Could someone throw me a rope before I start singing Do the Bartman?
Noooooo! What will I not watch on Sundays now?!
for the love of god cancel it! we’ve been waiting too long for chief wiggum’s spinoff!
look big daddy, it’s regular daddy!
“you got greedy, cast of the simpsons.”
By now they have so much material they might as well splice together random soundbytes to create new shows. In fact, I’m pretty sure they have been doing just that these last couple of seasons.
this newest season is definitely the best one.
Simpsons, I love you, but you’re bringing me down.
Well, were. Hope this happens, only because it needs to.
