Why would you even say that? If he’s gay, he should be allowed to come out if and when he feels like it. It’s not like he’s a homophobic politician getting caught with a male prostitute, he’s just a guy who makes movies and doesn’t want to announce that he’s gay.
Are you gay? If not than STFU. We need people like him to come out. Kids are killing themselves and we’re treated like second class citizens he could have a lot of influence and be a good role model for kids – especially minorities. You don’t know what you’re talking about.
If someone who is using the gay community to their advantage and not giving back, such as Tyler Perry, they should be outed. R2D2 is unaware of what he’s talking about and should STFU. If I make the ball for worst comment because of this I’m happy. I want people to know how a large portion of the gay community thinks about Mr. Perry, backstabber that he is.
That’s not very fair, though, is it? I mean, I’m all for people of influence coming out and becoming role models for scared and confused kids, but arguing that they are letting kids die is not really the most reasonable way of encouraging someone out of the closet.
Yeah, but no. I’m not gay, but that doesn’t invalidate my position that it should be up to him when he comes out. Outing someone against their will is an incredibly mean spirited thing to do, and it’s a way of intentionally causing someone mental distress.
I actually think it would be great if every gay person in his position would come out of the closet, but I don’t think you get to make the call for them.
I think you should stay out of it because you’re ignorant about this issue. In a perfect world, yes, it would be fine to let people come out whenever they want. However, he’s making hundreds of millions of dollars. He’s a public figure. He has a responsibility to come out. As prejudice continues, gays and lesbians fight for equal rights and protection under the law, people die – he sits on his fat wad of cash, it’s just not right. ESPECIALLY when he uses gay characters and themes to make money off of. We can make him money, but we can’t be associated with him?
After watching Death Sentence, a terrible movie starring Kevin Bacon as a father in search of vigilante justice directed by Saw's James Wan, Gabe embarked on The Hunt For The Worst Movie of All Time. This is his sad journey.

And congrats on making the Ball this week. You earned it!

Coming out and being outed are two TOTALLY different things. I think that R2D2, Esq. was simply trying to make that point.

You were the worst part of The Doors. (Also, The best part of The Smiths.)
Very TRUE!

Is this the videogum? Is this the Twillight Zone? Where am I? Why is this happening? Why is Tyler Perry happening?
Oooh, almost earned the Ball spot. You can never predict for Politicsgum to rear its incendiary comment-head at any given time.
I get what you’re saying! It’s not fair that celebrities make money and then turn a blind eye to the gay community.
