Good product placement, though. I would imagine a grown person watching MTV would pretty much wish death on all young people. Bobcat Goldthwait knows what I’m talking about.
Is the product placement for Papyrus greeting cards? cuz the Hunger Games logo looks just like those little gold sticker seals you get with thank you stationery.
Movie Execs: “Hey everyone! Look at the Hunger Games! It’s like the new Harry Potter!”
Everyone: “I don’t know, I’m not really invested in those books like I was Harry Potter, I’m not sure if this-”
Movie Execs: “THIS IS THE NEW HARRY POTTER. BE EXCITED, ASSHOLE.”
Booo! As a straight white man, I am contractually obligated to defend movie execs.
To each his own I suppose. *shrug*
Don’t judge me. I was Born This Way.
I am actually way too excited for this movie. In my defense, I also have a healthy dose of shame along with it. Of course, as a midwestern lutheran, I have a healthy dose of shame with everything I do.
I am totally excited! Not ashamed (maybe just a little)! They were really cool, well-written books if you put aside the fact that the average character age was 16 or so.
Ditto ditto ditto! All of those things!
I was really excited for this movie until I saw the new X-Men and Jennifer Lawrence managed to be even worse at acting than January Jones in a non-Betsy Draper role. Jones at least nailed the scene where she acted disinterested while having mindsex with the Russian general. But who knows maybe the studio gave her notes to be super terrible in that role.
This was the worst teaser trailer ever. If you hadn’t read the books (or even if you did), it was basically a girl hunting in the woods and they catch on fire. Riveting.
well, OBVIOUSLY, if you haven’t read the books you should. they take like,
huh…i wasn’t done typing. RUDE…ANYWAY:
the books take no time to read so EVERYONE has obviously read them because EVERYONE has no time.
I liked the books, but I can’t help feeling the movie will be like this
but so much less awesome.
Nothing will be as awesome as that movie.
Oooo what’s that?? Looks intriguing.

‘Be sure to keep cutting to extreme close-ups of the franchise logo so that when we reveal it in full everyone in the audience be all like OH WOW, THE HUNGER GAMES LOGO, I RECOGNIZE THAT, AWESOME! Be sure to do that.’ – Movie Executive
