Obviously, Friday Night Lights was already a movie, but now they’re talking about making it a movie again and this time with Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. Good idea, boys! Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t I have one adult ticket for Friday Night Lights: The Movie, please.

The twist at the end is that it turns out Kyle Chandler was such a great coach because he was able to read about the game in the newspaper the day before it actually happened.
MsQuinn and I just finished watching the first season of Friday Night Lights, and can I just say that it was awesome? I know that I’m hardly the first person around these parts to realize this, but I just wanted to put it out there. Good show, everyone. Good avatar, Gabe.
Friday Night Lights is awesome. And I don’t want to spoil anything but the series finale is just like the best series finale.
Better than Dinosaurs?
I was reading that recap on the AV Club the other day and remember that finale was depressing as fuck. Also that was the first time I realised the guy that voiced the baby is also the voice of Elmo. He is also the subject of a documentary coming up I really want to see (“Being Elmo”), just like this new FNL movie. Boom, brought it back! It’s like the Kevin Bacon game!
Guess it’s time I start watching this show
I hope at the end of Battleship, after Taylor Kitsch has single-handedly sunk all the battleships, a shadowy figure comes to thanks him. Taylor Kitsch will then turn and say “Thanks, President. . . Coach.” and the ending of Battleship will be that it was the Friday Night Lights movie all along and Coach Taylor has become President Taylor and Tami has become Mrs. President.
You sunk my hopes of seeing a good movie!
“Gentleman, take a knee. We are about to face a threat unlike any we have seen before. But I know, we have the character, and the strength to within, to go out there, and show these aliens who they’re dealing with! *Writes ‘Survive’ on whiteboard*
And then we see a figure swimming out from one of the sinking alien battleships but it’s not an alien at all, it’s Santiago out for vengeance. The End?
A movie based on a show based on a movie based on a book. The author’s royalty checks are hand-delivered by Leonardo diCaprio.
Maybe this movie, based on a show about a movie will be so successful that someone at HBO will say, “Hey, let’s make a show about this thing!” Also, we should totally have a caption contest to name the Friday Night Lights movie.
Is explosions in the sky still doing the soundtrack? I’d be down with that, but only with the same badass music.
goddammit they already made a friday night lights movie. and it was perfect.
