If you haven’t been watching Max Silvestri and Rich Juzwiak’s video reviews of chain restaurants it’s not a big deal because you can just start watching them now and then go back and catch up, it’s fine.

  1. I’ve never heard of Max Silvestri and Rich Juzwiak. And frankly, it sounds like you just made them up.

  2. Aww, I’ve missed Rich. If they had started with an episode of Pot Psychology, their Outback visit may have been more satisfying. #jezebelgum?

  3. I hope Max and Rich become so well known for this that eventually their presence at a chain restaurant sends a reverent chill through the establishment’s staff, like that part in any restaurant/ hotel movie when the big-time newspaper review person comes to town.

  4. I love these just as much as the ‘Gabe & Max Like the Internet’ videos and hope we get a hundred more. I mean sure Outback Steakhouse almost killed Max & Rich but I insist they keep moving forward. … That restaurant did look really creepy though. Very poorly lit. Maybe the characters from ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ can meet up there for a bloomin’?

  5. You guys know this is the height of sarcastic hipsters, right? Putting down chain restaurants? Outback was gross? Really? The ONE major pro of a chain restaurant is that the food stays consistent from store to store. There’s no Denny’s that makes the BEST coffee.

    • Cloud Dad, the point of the series is that they actually do take chain restaurants seriously — acknowledging that they can occasionally be pretty decent/pleasant. I don’t see how that’s cynical. You’re right that consistency is key, so that’s why it’s uber upsetting when a chain can’t even manage to be palatable. If you have X-hundred locations and millions in product and process development at your fingertips, every location better be good. Not great, but definitely good.

  6. Love these guys!

  7. Can’t watch this til I’m home (FORGOT HEADPHONES), but if it’s half as good as the Red Lobster “least kosher place on the planet” one, then I’m very excited.
