1. Did Janice Rowling really write the Harry Potter books on a single napkin?
2. After the books became an international sensation, did Janice Rowling move into a college library?
3. Do all Hollywood executives have maps of the world in the library reading rooms where they come up with their schemes?
4. Has Daniel Radcliffe just been chugging hobo wine right out of the bottle on the red carpet? Is that a thing?
5. Whose post-Harry Potter career plan is being a DJ? Neville?
6. WHAT WILL VOLDEMORT DO NOW?
7. Become a chef at a Benihana apparently?

  1. I would watch the shit out of a [He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named] cooking show.

  2. This is the best Harry Potter movie so far.

  3. **cough, Joanne Rowling, cough cough**

  4. No, Neville Longbottom’s career plan is being professionally handsome

  5. My question is, why are grownup Hermione’s CGI boobs so enormous?

  6. Well, “TOO DELICIOUS TO BE MENTIONED” is now my go-to answer to every question about everything.

“Hey Superglue, how was work?” “TOO DELICIOUS TO BE MENTIONED.”

“Hey Superglue, how would you like this steak cooked?” “TOO DELICIOUS TO BE MENTIONED.”

  7. Did anyone see it at midnight? Cause I know people who did!*

    *..like me!

    • i know people who did, too! and they made house shirts!*

      *my friends and i.

    • I went too, with a broke-ass, last minute Ginny Weasley costume and a knitting needle wand.

    • Did anyone get sold out of seeing it at midnight? Cause I know people who waited too long to pre-order tickets!*

      *like me :(

      • I’m sorry! i know a girl who bought her ticket on craigslist.

they sold out every theater of the 20-plex i went to, something like 4,000 tickets. it was insane. i never expected it to be so big.

        • It’s no biggie, really. I’m going after work tonight, and I didn’t lose the 4 hours of sleep it would’ve meant to go see it last night. Midnight showings are fun, but sleeping is also fun!

    • The Videogum Harry Potter coalition did because that is definitely a thing that exists and I’m not embarrassed of it at all.

I waited for 6 hours at the 34th St. theater but then it ended up being not that crowded? Or even sold out…? It was weird. But probably better because there were less people to hear me sob.

      • OK, I give up. It seems Videogum and Facebook have made a deal with the devil and I am forever destined to make comments under my name so that future employers google me and see that I’m a huge NERD. So be it.

        • my mom was just prattling on about how she had watched the news last night and how they were interviewing all the wizard nerds in their dress robes at the midnight show and wow, was she glad her adult children didn’t do crap like that. and i, rather meekly, informed her that i went (but left my dress robes at home as a movie isn’t really a formal occassion like a tri-wizard tournament gala, etc.) by myself. then she called me the comic book guy.

i’m going to go cry into my tardis shaped pillow now. sigh.

    • yes. but i forgot my dress robes.

  8. Oh…I thought Voldemort was the food

  9. Oof. Are all these Harry Potter posts what it feels like to people when I go on and on about Dr. Who and Star Wars, because if so, I apologize.

  10. I believe “too delicious to be mentioned” is a reference to Voldemort, who is known as “He who must not be named” in the first books. My guess is the chinese translation of that was something akin to “Too evil to be mentioned” or something like that.

        • ::leans back too far, falls, wakes up, wonders what made me think breaking up my vast energy empire in order to buy a copy of “The Tales of Beedle the Bard” was ever a good idea::

  11. There’s nothing not funny about this.

  12. For what it’s worth, I think the DJ is meant to represent Tom Felton’s post-Potter ambitions of becoming a rapper.

  14. I’m going to Taiwan on Friday! I’ll ask them to please answer the questions.

Also, I’ve never read Harry Potter or watched the movies. I feel like I’ve always just waited too long. I’m planning on reading them when I have kids, like 10 years from now.
