Well here’s a bit of a we-found-it-first scoop: Christina Hendricks, she of the undulating authentic cleavage, and also the actress who plays Joan Holloway on Mad Men, was so totally the star of the video for Everclear’s song “One Hit Wonder” back in the ’90s, playing “Loopy,” a sort of Courteney Cox to Everclear’s Bruce Springsteen. And Christina’s trademark real purty mouth was in evidence even then! No offense to Everclear fans, but I preferred to watch with the sound off:
Like any rock video, they made sure to showcase the boobs:

This is even better than when we found out Bobbie from Mad Men was a country singer.

Samezoid
awesome song, what chu talkin’ bout?
For anyone interested in seeing how her breasts handle a wild and frontier-like environment, she was also in two of the 13 episodes of Joss Whedon’s fantabulously underrated Firefly series. Playing a wiley temptress with giganormous breastage and a disturbingly teeny waist, who tries to control the men around her with her sex-u-ality.. That sounds oddly familiar.
Hey look, here she is now!

Oh to be the man at 0:28
who is the actor in the beginning of that video?
nevermind, i know now and it’s embarassing!
i’m amazed you fail to mention it’s directed by McG. that’s far more important.
Saffron’s in a new show?
OK Guys, Listen. Videogum is malfunctioning, which clearly means that the end of the world is probably going to happen this Saturday. This is why I’ve taken refuge in this 2 1/2 year old post about Christina Hendricks, deep in the Videogum archives.
Those of you who are brave enough, come and join me and together we will wait out the apocalypse.
Join me soon, the service at this bar sucks.
I did not believe the predictions (prophecies!) until Videogum broke. Now I regret the error of my ways, and I fear for the future and the reign of the Antichrist. I will wait in here with you, FLW, and we can use our final days the way Jesus would have wanted: by making puns about corgis farting.
The Church of the Farting Corgi has a nice ring to it.
For our sins, we should say an “Our Farter”.
(Aaaaaaand I’m going to hell.)
Queef be with you.
(and I’m right behind you.)
Ha ha ha! I love the idea that this is buried deep in the archives. We’re safely tucked under layers of posts here.
Anyone want to talk about how much I want to like Happy Endings, but actually don’t like it at all?
It’s trying to hard. I’m going to keep it at arms length because I feel it could do a Parks and Rec like spin move from awful first season to phenomenal second season.
Oh that’s too bad, I really like Happy Endings, I have a picture of Damon Wayans Jr. in my wallet actually
I think the cast is really strong, and I’m glad Adam Pally is finally in something, but the writing is not so good. Their episode about Casey Wilson’s hipster boyfriend was so full of terrible 1 dimensional writing it was awful. But, I do hope they can pull through, and maybe find a proper rhythm and style to their show.
This is awesome. And I’m home today, so I can actually participate! End of the world? Bring it on, I say!
Don’t worry! I made it!!
Hey, my bunker is still here!
Reopening the Videogum commenting bomb shelter.
This isn’t a statement towards the size of Christina Hendricks chest, is it?
Always.
It seems nice here in the bomb shelter.
Yeah, every year or so, the ol’ Videogum machine breaks down and I open up the bomb shelter.
Hey did you guys hear two of the Mad Men cast members got engaged?
Yes! Pete Campbell and Rory Gilmore! And that ended well on the show, so this should be a good coupling.
