
It is being reported that Hollywood legend Peter Falk, best known for his long-running series Columbo, has passed away. From TMZ:
A rep for the family tells TMZ, “Peter Falk, 83-year-old Academy Award nominee and star of television series, ‘Columbo’, died peacefully at his Beverly Hills home in the evening of June 23, 2011.
[He] is survived by his wife, Shera, of 34 years and two daughters from a previous marriage.
In addition to the television series Columbo, Peter Falk is also known for films including The Princess Bride, Wings of Desire, and Brigadoon, and he was twice nominated for an Oscar. Aww. We’ll miss you, Mr. Falk!
R.I.P. Peter Falk. You are in heaven now, narrating The Princess Bride to the angels.

Wow, I didn’t realize he was just 83. That’s actually pretty young. I guess he just looked really old for a long time and I assumed he was 100.
