Guys, I just tried to create a Videogum Facebook Group on the Videogum Facebook Page for the Videogum Movie Club but it didn’t work because I guess only “people” can create Groups, not “fictional entities”? Pretty sad story. Now what are we going to do? Just kidding. What we are going to do is all go see X-Men: First Class this weekend and then talk about it Monday. See you then.

More like X Men: Coach, amirite?
I saw it last night, and let me assure everybody that Jennifer Lawrence is definitely in it.
Not to be all snobgum, but I have not been excited for these movie club entries recently. Maybe it’s because of summer? I’m going to blame summer.
Videogum BBQ Club Reminder: BBQ In A Local Back Yard
super 8 next week!
I’m interested in seeing Betty Draper in white undergarments.
Damn, just saveD myself $11.00
JANUARY Jones plays Emma FROST! Get it? Do you get it? Winter is in January for those of us living in the Northern hemisphere.
You get it.
Wait. Is this movie going to be okay for an 11 year old? I don’t know these things!? Why am I suddenly partially, briefly responsible for the youth of today?!?
Michael Fassbender. That is all.
I tried yesterday, during Michael Fassbender excitement, to post a picture of him from Hunger, but apparently the Internet gods thought it was too graphic for VGum.
Well, found another one:
Also, everyone should just see this movie.
yes. it is so good.
Oh seriously. It’s one of the few times I’ve seen a film and thought, “I’ve never seen anything like that.” Malick and Tarkovsky do that to me to … am I now being offputitng with pretentiousfilmgum?
You have made other comments that I have appreciated (Boston accent thread… ) and it makes me need to ask what your icon is from. It seems familiar, but I can’t place it.
I’m more excited about Submarine, personally, but I don’t think it’s playing in Toronto
cant say im really excited about this one.
Oh man, I think this is going to be the first time ever that I’ve seen the Videogum movie club movie on the weekend of. My girlfriend is taking care of her nephew this weekend and needed something fun to do so thought movies, and being a nerd, knowing the nephew is a nerd, I recommended this. Then I asked if I could come, because otherwise I’d never see it. When she said I could, I jumped with excitement; when she said I could go stoned, I skipped all the way home.
I can’t reply to you above for some reason! But my icon is the Fat Pony from “Hark! A Vagrant!”

I saw this movie last night, and I’m saving all of my opinions for the Movie Club (despite having written all about it on my prestigious internet blog and whatnot) but I will say that I’m not sure why January Jones has a stunt double in this movie, especially for the scene she’s been photographed in here. There are literally no stunts of hers performed in that outfit. Does JJ hire stunt doubles to hang around on set in her place because she’s so insufferable?

I’m waiting for the pre-prequel, X-Men: Homeroom.
I thought it was shit. Horrible script, couldn’t care less about the characters.
But I’m probably getting old and bitter.
Saw it last night, ultimately successful but did not fulfill its potential. Fassbender and McAvoy had great chemistry and presence, but I feel like everyone else was severely underwritten. More Fassbender, fewer mutants? Marvel has burned me out.
James McAvoy can do no wrong. Exception to this rule: in this movie as Professor X. Not sure whether to blame him or the writing, but Professor X was kind of an annoying assface in this one, amirite?
oh man, I’m pretty excited.
This movie features the ultimate cheesy uttered on a beach.
It’s going to be like a bonus LOST recap!
Otherwise, exactly what lesigh said + FASSBENDER IS SO FUCKING AWESOME IN EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME.
