ATTENTION VIDEOGUM BOOK CLUB: BRACE YOURSELVES, FOOLS.
My one regret in life is that i’ll never have a dog.
I’m worried that this is the beginning of a journey that’s going to end up with “Marcel the Shell the Movie,” starring Mike Myers.
Guess who my publisher is. Simon and Shellster.
Guess what I use as a bookmark. A splinter.
Guess who my videogum nemesis is. Shellbomber.
We’re not violent unless we’re provoked.
USA Today! The coloring book of newspapers!
I AM SO EXCITED I COULD HEADBANG REPEATEDLY, BUT I AM IN PUBLIC SO I WILL JUST TYPE THIS AND ACTUALLY DO NOTHING.
The only book news worth talking about is that “A Dance with Dragons” got a release date.
I’ll see your nerdy book about a shell and raise you a nerdy book about dragons and incest.
I just screamed with joy, and pre-ordered this on Amazon. I guess this means the series will be finished by 2021?
Speaking of Shel, when is someone going to make a movie based on this guy’s books?
Did you know he wrote A Boy Named Sue? How cool is that?
no! holy cow, that is VERY cool
I could see Tim Burton taking a swing at this (and potentially ruining it?*)
*in this scenario I am Disney and Tim Burton is Elton John
I get such a weird vibe from this thing that I just can’t get behind it. It sounds like a cross between Woody Allen and Salad Fingers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuCw5k-Lph0
I sure hope this makes the final ‘Oprah’s Book of the Month’ spot!
This will be the greatest children’s book since Michael Ian Black’s “Chicken Cheeks”!!!!!
ATTENTION VIDEOGUM BOOK CLUB: You were supposed to discuss Dave Eggers’ book 1.5 months ago. AnAmPat, where are you?!? Do you need help? I’m here!!
I am also confused and a little scared! I’ve read AHWOSG and The Road and I have no one to tell me what to think about it!!! I feel lost.
Rereading this comment, it seems that it could be taken as me being sarcastic and mean, but I am 100% dead serious. Bookgum is great and I really don’t want it to die!!
I know!!! I skipped the Road (I’ve already read it) but just finished Lolita. I plan on reading Infinite Jest as well, damnit!
