Joy Division’s first television performance of “Transmission,” as performed by Playmobil toys is our generation’s plastic garbage bag blowing in the wind.
All of the members of the band are playmobil. Except for the guitarist, who is Lego. This is an important distinction.
I feel a sudden urge to wear flanel and buy a bunch of Nirvana albums. Should I be concerned?
I hope the main toy didn’t kill himself
I was hoping someone wouldn’t make that joke, but it is sort of the
in the room
What makes this awesome instead of just okay is that it is Playmobil instead of Lego.
They then went on to be Weebles New Order, but it just was never the same.
Love* will tear us apart.
(*Love is the name of our dog. Pick up your toys when your done with them.)
Someone who loves Playmobil and Joy Division this much certainly has a Disorder.
I like the lighting in this video. There’s some wonderful Shadowplay going on.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I really like this, Heart and Soul.
(Oh dear, it’s seems I’ve Lost Control…)
Get a room!
an Isolation room, even.
These guys are way too happy to resemble Joy Division.
But they’ve definitely got Ian Curtis’ dance moves down!
I bet animating that drummer was a bitch. I was almost expecting him to spontaneously combust, Spinal Tap-style.
Man, that Anton Corbijn is always pushing boundaries!
This video is tearing me apart.
Haha. I could watch this all day.
Love Will Separate Us at Our Plastic Joints
Even the Playmobil Hooky looks cooler playing bass than I do.
Ugh, spoilsport here. You can’t really stop-action something so historically animated with limited movement Legos and Playmobiles. I rarely complain about the things people do and enjoy but this was boring as hell.
