“Troll Fan” Barbie commercial from the early ’90s:
The funniest thing about that commercial is the jingle, which explains what a “fan” is. “Troll Troll Troll/ Troll Fan Barbie/ She’s really into trolls.” I haven’t kept up with Barbie technology, but is it a Thing for Barbies to be fans of other toys? And were trolls even still popular in the ’90s? Troll Fan Barbie raises more questions than she answers. (Via FeyFriends.)

I amassed a huge troll collection around ‘92-’94. There was a store dedicated to trolls at the mall, and I would waste my allowance every week. I think the boxes are in my parents’ basement. If I did not own this Barbie, there is no doubt in my mind that I really, really wanted to have it. Oh, to be a third-grader again.
i didnt hear the word fan once. it was just “troll barbie”
I don’t know where I got that. I watched it 80 times.
I prefer Troll 2 Barbie
I had this Barbie! I really did. Though my favourite Barbie was the one where the chest cavity opened up to reveal lipgloss and a picture of Ken.
heh, i had this barbie. she was always put in the role of “weird outcast that no other barbies will talk to” during play time.
I had this Barbie. Amazingly, if you take her in the shower with you, the sticky on all that troll hair dies and you lose a few colors down the drain. That was a lesson I had to learn the hard way.
I’m surprised that the three people above my comment had this doll as a child. Did your parents hate you?
I’m surprised too that there are this many people in general that had this doll..let alone commenting on Videogum. Maybe they were relegated to the clearance rack and moms scooped them up?
