Oh look, an Academy Award-nominated short film from Jim Henson. The burning question of how you were going to spend the next nine minutes has finally been answered. After all these years!

I don’t like that Jim Henson keeps coughing in this, you guys.
Oh no. It’s like a really, really prescient first cough. That made me really sad.
The other day I ran across a video from Jim Henson’s memorial of Big Bird singing “It’s Not Easy Being Green”. I wept like a small child. A small child watching Jim Henson’s memorial service.
I can understand, I mean, how do you not feel so attached to someone who amounts to essentially another parent? It makes me feel melancholy just thinking about it. *sigh*
My childhood memories of the Muppets are a little Fozzie.
Do NOT Kermit the sin of forgetting the Muppets! You’ll never get Grover it if you do.
Thank you so much Gabe! Jim Henson is pure genius – love the editing and the originality of this clip.
I also love everything else he ever did.
Where was the obligatory bear drinking a 40?
You guys, I really miss Jim Henson. Like daily.
Me too. I don’t even feel embarrassed that I, a grown woman, not only own all of Fraggle Rock, but watch it regularly.
I am a little embarrassed about stealing the Jim Henson ‘Think Different’ poster from my chemistry classroom in high school, but really, would you not have done the same?
I dare you to tell me you would not have done the same. (Sorry Mr. Tepp!)
I would have done the same! I put this picture in my kid’s room before he was even born:
He always reminded me of my dad because for years and years they had the same hairstyle, head to chin. Hippies. The Muppets and my dad’s beard are integral images of my childhood and it’s SO EARLY for nostalgia tears, MAN.
I used to get straight SEX DAMNs in high school.
This perfectly represents how I experience the world and I’m sure the same goes for a lot of people, and that’s what makes it so good.
Chicagoans: the Museum of Science and Industry has a Jim Henson exhibit through the end of January that is Worth It.
Must. Go. To. Chicago.
I went last weekend! It’s a really awesome exhibit.
Ugh in reply to Patrick M.
Why can’t more entertainment be like this and less like what it is now?
