YouTube sensation Bo Burnham made his first TV appearance last night on Carson Daly’s show and it’s inexplicably not on YouTube yet! (Considering Bo’s legions of followers.) Here’s the video of Bo introducing America to his unique brand of vulgar folk songs:
Cute! He sounds like a version of The Mountain Goats that you could hear at Spencer’s Gifts. That song was a little accessible, though — I prefer this one because it mentions Venn diagrams.

Oops, Lindsay. This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
I weep for the throngs of college kids that will book this guy to play their student unions. Hopefully he will be booked into oblivion within the next two years.
WOW! It’s just a matter of time before he as much a cultural touchstone as The Rugburns.
110% agree. This is a rip off of A Month Dead, and it’s worse at that.
I love him. But this was by far his weakest song & performance.
I thought this was great – I watch his youtube channel constantly – if you actually analyze the lyrics, the kid is a genius. I hope he becomes a big star.
HA! any one who calls Bo Burnham a rip off needs to get their facts straight! he IS a genius and you only wish you could come up with half the puns he could come up with, hes original. And for it being a weak performance? if you think about it all his other material would be censored a lot of television…um, duh.
No offense, but I honestly don’t wish that I were in a position to come up with half the puns that he does because they’re puns.
We love Bo!!!!
Spot on analysis.
