Over the weekend, ABC News did an interview with Phil Davison about his Internet stardom. Aww. He seems nice! And dumb! And completely insane! And weird! And confused! And out of his depth! But nice!

Phil Davis!
Oh. Phil DavisON. Well that’s a letdown.
Zootsuit!
Wow Gabe, that’s pretty harsh, he didn’t actually come off as dumb, overly weird, confused, or insane. I think he actually interviewed pretty well. Lay off the poor guy.
I kind of agree with Gabe. The point is not that he is a good sport about it, it’s that he says he does not regret it. He was way out of line in the previous video and should have downplayed the incident. Such a rep is political suicide (see: Howard Dean). He got denied because of his overreaction and if he ever wants to run for office again, he cannot be “Shouty Youtube Guy”. You will never get enough ironic votes to win office.
So yes, he was being dumb and confused and out of his depth about the workings of politics. Insane: not so much. Still, he seems nice. #politicalrantgum
Umm, did anyone else just see a commercial for Brawny, where they start singing Lean On Me? Because ugh.
Yup, and now it’s stuck in my head, damnit.
I like Danny Pardo for Treasurer.
Nope. I got transition lenses. Guess I’m in a different demographic.
I remixed this guy with Iron Maiden’s “Run to the Hills” – http://inscho.org/post/1109780011
You’re welcome.
He had never heard of youtube before he became an “internet celebrity”??? What??? How! My grandma who lives in a trailor and uses AOL to email me pictures of cute puppies and is 80 years old knows what youtube is.
WHAT.
I used to live in Ohio. There’s no internet there. That’s why people live in Ohio, because there’s nothing to tell them that there are better places to be.
Seems to have about the same level of self-awareness as David Brent or Michael Scott. But he’s real! I think we should keep him.
