I teared up just watching that trailer. But I’m not buying Kristen Stewart as a stripper. And was that ALLY SHEEDY?!

She doesn’t have that big of a part in the movie SPOILER ALERT but she is indeed quite good in it. I thought Life During War Time was less good than Happiness, which it kinda seems to be almost a direct sequel of
i have a totally quick, semi-related question. this has been bothering me for AGES:
How can there be a “team edward” vs whatever, if the movies are based on books? like, the outcome has already been written? there is a winner. have all these people just not read the books or something? I DON’T GET IT!

In my dreams, Romeo and Juliet wake up and Jack and Rose wash up on Coney Island beach. Just because things end a certain way in the books (ahem, the RIGHT way) doesn’t mean that people can’t while away countless hours writing and publishing fanfic in which their dreams come true.

one time, i somehow managed this one night stand situation with this girl who I thought was super hot. right before stuff started happening, she offhandedly mentioned her somethingsomething fanfiction (I WISH I REMEMBERED WHAT IT WAS) and it made me totally pause and be like “what?”
but then I did it anyway.
I guess I am one of the few people who has no opinion on James Gandolfini, but I love Melissa Leo and, I don’t care what anybody says, I love Kristen Stewart. However, one of my least favorite tropes is the Hooker-With-A-Heart-Of-Gold (unless said hooker is played by Goldie Hawn or Shirley Maclaine.) I realize that in this case KStew plays a stripper, but the idea is essentially the same.
I’d watch anything Melissa Leo is in; her performance in Treme this season was amazing. I’d forgotten how awesome she is.
Kristen Stewart will always be a stupid lamp to me.
And you’re right on about that old hooker trope, or I guess, in this case, stripper with a heart-of-gold?
I am on Team Kristen Stewart Is Cool also. The Runaways was GREAT. But I worry this movie has too much stuff that appeals to my white indie sensibilities. Like, if there is an Elliott Smith song on the soundtrack and Gael Garcia Bernal is in it and maybe there is a comedian doing a subdued and semi-serious performance (Ed Helms, maybe) it will be indie overload. Like a Focus Features test-tube baby.
