New trailer for the new mumblecore movie, Nights And Weekends, from the director of Hannah Takes The Stairs, which again stars that annoying yet mesmerizing chick Greta Gerwig. It’s about relationships and how they’re hard and how everyone between the ages of 18 and 35 has the same disturbing lazy verbal tics:

I’m not going to complain about this movie. You know why? Because I watch The Hills, that’s why, and nobody who watches The Hills can complain about basically the exact same concept but with slightly smarter and less fake tanned people who have each read at least one book. Also, it’ll be available on IFC’s movies on demand channel on September 24, so I don’t even need to leave my house to hatewatch, but possibly secretly lovewatch, it.

This type of movie falls under the category of “Too Realistic To Enjoy.” It’s like watching myself sit at home with my own girlfriend, maybe with more fighting or awkwardness. Then, the inevitable “are we like that?” thought processes, etc. It would be sweet if one of them was a robot, or from the future. One laser gun would maybe convince me. Otherwise, no.

  2. i just saw ‘in search of a midnight kiss’ so i’m all MUMBLECORED out….

  3. Spoiler alert: this girl is getting it from every dude she knows back home.

    1. This movie purports to be hyper realistic

    3. He’s really not good looking
    4. He is a mumbler to the core, so his charm level is zero
    5. They don’t make mumblecore joints about really rich young dudes
    6. Hence, therefore, COGITO ERGO SUM, QED, she’s cheating on him
