“Hey, those are some really cool hip hop dance moves you are doing!” — One of Your Friends
“Wait a second, did you put a hip twist in after doing the running man? Very neat dance!” — One of Your Friends
“You are a human music video of rap!” — One of Your Friends
All of these quotes were overheard at the party this weekend when you impressed your friends with Diane Horner’s “Country Hip Hop.” (Via FourFour.)

You should introduce me. I just learned some killer dance moves!
you are quite the dancer
“diane horner hates black people” – kanye
“Racism is everywhere” – Gabe
for real…gabe thinks that MLK was a racist!
i am having such strong flashbacks of living in tennessee during the early 90s. i’m kind of paralyzed at my desk. help.
Some things should just not leave the 80′s…
I wish they didn’t put our boyfriend Jamie all the way to the side
Where’s the move called “shorts under my jorts”?
I cannot stop laughing at this.
I really wish I could upvote this a thousand, million times.
YES!!!
Don’t shoot it’s just me Thug Queen. (I should be shot for knowing lyrics to this song)
I swear, some black cowboys kidnapped me and forced me to cowboy hiphop at gunpoint. It wasn’t my fault!
Is this Kid Rock’s mom?
To the others in that video, Diane Horner was, hands down, the blackest person they’d ever met.
Okay, I am not going to lie to you guys–when I was in high school I learned the dance in the Rhythm Nation video (DO NOT JUDGE). I don’t know who came first, Diane “Hip Hop” Horner or Miss Janet, but someone is ripping someone off.
Actual video of me:
I was such a pretty young woman.
I admire your courage to admit to learning a dated dance.
I’ll join you because there’s strength in numbers-
When I was in high school a friend and I spent an evening learning the final dance from the movie Encino Man.
Feels good, admitting that.
I took a dance class where we learned The “Achy-Breaky Heart” dance. *shudder*
Admitting it is the first step–to a cool new hip-hop dance, that is!
Too much?
Encino Man 4-evar by the way. When will there be a Twilight-esque resurrection of the unfrozen caveman genre? Hot, sparkly cavemen. Bonus: Pauly Shore.
Also: open the door, get on the floor. Everybody walk the dinosaur.
My mom was a jazzercise instructor and made me jazzercise with her during my adolescence. Sometimes it was ON STAGE. Also she taught line-dancing.
this doesn’t make me feel better so much as like going back to bed for a month.
OMG, I learned the Rhythm Nation dance too! And performed it as part of a real live dance troupe for my middle school talent show!
I definitely learned the dance in the beginning of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
“Let’s do some hip hop dancing. Vaudeville!” — That Lady in the Video
instead of using his time machine to stop the oil spill, gabe prefers to travel a day into the future to see how your country hip-hop moves work out. they work out fine, apparently.
The fun thing about hip-hop dancing is that you can use your shoulders if you want? I’m not sure that using my shoulders necessarily adds fun to anything. I’m also not sure that Diane Horner knows what the word “fun” means.
One thing I enjoy the most about hip hop dancing is the opportunity to purchase a fresh pair of hip hop trousers.
No one else thinks this is totally racist?
And all this time I thought the Cowboy Hip Hop was just a sexual position.
Who knew Anton Chigurh was such a versatile dancer.
Kathy Geiss the early years?
Heidi’s exposed shoulders are both cowboy AND hip-hop. Just like biking shorts under jorts, and a latino(?) guy in a denim jacket that’s both one-size too small, and for women. Cowboy AND hip-hop.
Did we just get served?
at least 14.76 was spent to make this video.
I can’t stop watching her hair. It has such volume and bounce. God-like moves AND hair!
When did Incantation have a Hip Hop phase?
first gif post. wish it was better
me too
Watching that guy dance I kept saying, “Milk the cow! Milk the cow!”
Are there cows in the ‘hood?
I bought Diane’s entire outfit on Etsy. Even the boots.
“that’s jamming” took the words out of mt mouth
Man, bowl cuts for women as “hip”, The 90′s were a terrific time to be a lady.
Hip hop is my cup of tea. I love doing hip hops in the party. Moreover the dance steps in the video are nice enough to be learned. I loved these all…
