Here’s a question: what is up with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse? They’re writers on a TV show, right? And TV shows have ended before, right? I’m only asking because I have never seen anything like this before. They’re all over the place. Between these Muppets videos and that Funny or Die video they made with Sarah Silverman and their nightly appearances on every talk show, they are basically celebrities, apparently? Just the world’s two most awkward and uncomfortable celebrities who don’t seem to want to be in front of the camera at all but are in front of the camera so much. Has this ever happened before? You never see David Simon doing shit like this. It’s just weird, and I’m curious what is up with it. I’ll take my answer off the air. (Via Vulture.)

Larry David.
Didn’t you also audition, Steve? You didn’t get it b/c of that thing they found out about that happen in the swamp some years ago, right? It was a little unfair because it was so long ago but completely reasonable on the part of the Lost guys. I realize this is the first time this is coming out publicly but I figured as we near the finale, the rest of the Videogum community needs to know why you persistently hate on Lost.
Ask your mother
My mom did work as a casting director for Alias (Alias is a show about a spy!). I didn’t know you auditioned for Alias but that’s cool! What part was it so I can ask if she remembers you? However, as far as I know, she didn’t work on Lost.
Just got off the phone. She says she doesn’t recall any Steve Winwoods. Were you using a different stage name back then? Anyway, she said she didn’t work on Lost at all. When that show was in pre-production, it was the year she was taking off to go back to school and finish her MFA.
Is your mother pretty?
I blame Paul Scheer and Disney.
You Should see Grover’s audition for ‘Mama Mia!’
He sang off key for 5 min and tried to convince the producers to cast Miss Piggy. It was really embarrassing for everyone.
This guy knows what I’m talking about

This would have been better if they had replaced Cuse and Lindelof with Kermit and Fozzie Bear.
Or Scooter for Damon

it’s uncanny
The only kind of jokes I appreciate are jokes that compare people to Muppets. This Michael Steele one is a classic!
I appreciate the Muppets on a much deeper level than you.
They’re getting themselves out there now so that when the show ends and people are coming to them asking why none of their questions were answered they can say “sorry we’re really tired from interviewing muppets and awkwardly staring at Sarah Silverman, and oh hey look we’re going through a tun-” *click*
“Can I use this chair?”
Kid, we’ve seen enough…you got the goods.
Needs more Statler and Waldorf.
I know they’re trying to make the muppets more relevant with these viral videos because of the new movie coming out, but if they keep making the awesomely funny viral videos i’m going to stick my hand so far up their… oh wait.
Have you guys seen Lost re-enacted by cats video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-DShnvNNv0
I guess after 6 seasons, they’re finally letting us know it’s just all one big fucking joke
The Muppets are and will always forever be > LOST
for serious, from the POV of someone who does not watch Lost (but plans to destroy a couple weekends in the future doing so), the nonstop promotion recently (with the actors making the rounds, as well as the writers) seems completely pointless, b/c there doesn’t seem to be a more ridiculous show to tune into for JUST the last episode or two. “That’s the show about the hatch, right? Remember that from 2004, honey? Let’s see how they tie that up.” The Lost audience is there, built in, not budging, watching and ready to go ape shit in any number of directions. No need for the extra hype.
But regardless, good luck, Lost fans. Hope it ends well for you (and one day, for me too).

Bobo has been around since Muppets take Manhattan and Pepe since Muppet Treasure Island (when Jeff Dunham was only doing his racist jokes in backwoods bars), the other one is “Big Mean Carl” and has been around for a while too, so they are not new
K.Thor: don’t be such a pill.
This would have been great if there had been less Pepe the Prawn and more Allison Janney.
This is so god dammed stupid. Please forward me the address of the nearest gun dealer so I can kill this YouTube abomination like Kate taught us to.
