The Office is such a universal Western experience that there are versions in France, Chile, Canada, and Germany. (It seems like Canada could just borrow ours.) The German version is even being turned into a movie. Anyway, because it’s always amusing to see familiar things in unfamiliar languages, here’s a clip from the German Office, Stromberg:

The Canadian one is really a Quebec one.. therefor in French.. therefor only for a small percentage of the population.. or the larger percentage that enjoys watching French tv drunk..
But most of us do just borrow yours.. and soon it will be ours!
“It seems like Canada could just borrow ours.” By that reasoning, shouldn’t we have just borrowed the Brits’ without making our own? But then, no Stanley, and a lot less cash for Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. A whole lot less.
No see, when the British like one of our shows they just air it on their stations… we wouldn’t want to stoop to their level. If those Limeys bastards actually have a good idea for once, we have to co-opt it and make it better, MORE AMERICAN!
Excuse me, I’m going to go whistle the anthem while I jerk off to Lady Liberty.
