The creators of the German World War II movie, Downfall, have made a copyright claim against all of the “Hitler Gets Mad When He Learns…” Internet-meme videos. Of course, this is just the type of thing that Hitler would be so mad to hear.

  1. In other news, I just received a cease and desist from CopperCab RE: My Co-Opting of his rant

  2. Why can’t you let Hitler be great?

  3. If Topher grace ever makes a copyright claim on his likeness, our moms are going to be so pissed that they will kick us out of their basements. Even though we totally pay rent.

  4. get off my hitler i got off yours

  5. Downfall should quit acting like a bunch of Hitlers.

  6. Schade. Und jetzt müssen wir uns fragen: Was Würde Hitler Tun (WWHT)? Definitely not make video parodies of himself, is what I’m thinking.

  7. Are they also cracking down on all those “poisoning the Goebbels children” parodies?

  8. Isn’t this a bad move (by the movie people)? OK, yes, this scene is taken (ridiculously) out of context, turning a serious moment into a punchline. But this internet meme really raised the public’s awareness about this (very small) movie. I’m sure people have sought it out on Netflix after seeing these YouTube videos. So this Cease and Desist really does no one any good.

  9. I hope I don’t get downvoted for getting all up in wertrew’s territory. But the chat is lonely, and we need some Monsters up in there.

Hopefully this hastily ‘shopped cat picture will persuade you:

    • oh man, I wanted to chat so much this weekend, you guys! but I broke my computer, and this spare one PRETENDS to load chat, and then IT DOESN’T, no matter what stupid browser I use. I HATE IT SO MUCH.

      Have fun at dinner.

  10. Funny, it took the removal of Hitler to show us all what its like to live in Nazi Germany…
